I love it. Jets fans defend not cheering for their team, not showing up to games, and abusing women. THIS is why God hates Jets fans.
A) Why? Is it designated for thugs and trashy behavior? B) rapists attitude right there C) That makes it OK?
According to the poster, there were beers thrown at women and they were spit on. Im just quoting his comments i didnt get around to reading the article. Now as for telling me to sit in my seat during halftime and not to bring my GF around the tunnel because idiots like you who cant get laid and the only way they can see tits is if they either A- Beg a lady to show it to them B- Pay for it at a strip bar C- Watch them on the internet In your case im sure its all of the above. I shouldnt have to sit in my seat during half time cause some idiots like you have no respect for women and kids. Do you have young kids?? Do you have a daughter?? If you do i would love to see the reaction on your face when shes either showing her tits or being classy and walking away and getting beer thrown at her. Dont be a smart ass!
LOL i heard about this from a giant fan friend who has been going to games for the past 15 years. Now thats funny.
Sure, let's relegate people to staying in their seats because 1% of the fans at the game want engage in this behavior...seems fair...good idea. This all really comes down to people showing some respect for their fellow fans / humans. However, there is always the "I paid for my ticket, I can do what I want" faction. The reality is that that attitude is just not true. Buying a ticket doesn't mean that you can do whatever you want when you get inside the gates. I'd like to say that everyone should have the common sense and decency to respect everyone else's right for a good football game experience, but I know that human nature (in some) and/or booze (in others) dictate otherwise. Spitting / bottle-throwing aside, I am sure to many it is "all in good fun," and, to even some of the woman it is harmless, but I just don't think that a Jets football game which should be a fun, light-hearted, family experience (outside of the product on the field this season) is the right setting.
I'm not sure what I find more embarrassing - that the thing is now being broadcast nationally or that some misguided fan thought it would be a good idea to voluntarily put it up on Youtube.
Really, whats the big deal? No one is being forced to participate, just like no one is forced to walk down Bourbon Street after dark. If its not your cup of tea, fine, that's great. The fact that this is news to most people tells me its something you can easily avoid if you go to the games.
I'll make my position known as well: I have 4 nieces, 3 daughters, a beatuiful wife, AND a girlfriend and I will NOT MISS the T-I-T-S Tits Tits Tits show the next time I'm at a game. Can't believe I didn't even know about it.
We're in the minority on this subject...I think people are more pissed @ the spitting and bottle throwing than the flashing. Which they have a right to be....all in good fun till it gets out of hand.
I knew that was comin. As long as my daughter doesnt think its appropriate to lift her shirt to chanting men, then im all set. Hopefully I can raise her well enough not to end up topless in the spiral.
The chanting and the women who volunteerily flash them is something I don't care about, the throwing bottles and spitting to the point that it seems forced now that is a major problem and should be stopped immediately. The sports football stadium hasn't been family oriented for years, so the daughter comments doesn't seem valid to me.
You know whats really sad.... That after a productive win, over a good team, with another game two days away, the only thing being talked about... BY US Is this retarded article.
This has nothing to do with nothing, but man, you must spend about one week a month ducking flying vases.
Agreed, but even more embarrassing is that this thread seems to be the hottest topic of the day... 6 pages and going strong. We're 2-8 facing the Dallas Cowboys in 2 days, we've made an exciting QB change for the better which now gives us at least some semblance of hope for the future, and all these morons want to do today is justify the behavior of a pack of imbecilic adolescent misfits. It's never easy being a Jets fan.
sadly, besides the chance to get McFadden in the draft, the spiral is one of the few enjoyable moments left of the gameday experience. The onfield product is garbage (minus the fantastic D played on sunday), we are getting overrun by the opposing teams fans, and we got no chance at the playoffs. and just so you guys know THERE ARE NO GIRLS GETTING HIT WITH THINGS OR SPIT ON. those points were exagerated by the media because booing something in new york is as american as apple pie an a boring story.
