There is almost no way I could ever root for the Pats. It would have to be something that really helps the Jets. And i can't think of a reason. So, no, never.
Dolphins and Bills are going to get killed today. Whether you "root" for it or not, it's going to happen.
Everyone wants to shoot the messenger. Just because I share an article to begin a discussion does not mean I agree 100% with the writer. While I hate the Patriots as much as the next guy and believe we need to rebuild, our road to the playoffs this year goes nowhere if the Bills or the Fins steal a game or two from the Patsies.
Doesn't matter what the Bills and Dolphins do. The Ravens have an easy schedule and most likely will get the 6th seed. If they don't the Chargers probably will the way they are playing. The Jets still have road games at New Orleans and New England. Let that sink in for a moment before discussing the Jets "playoff chances".
Coming into the season I was hoping they wouldn't go 0-16. I didn't expect playoffs never really have so if they don't make it it's not the end of the world. It is kinda crazy the Jets are even in this spot. I was listening to Mike Francesa he was talking about the AFC playoff picture he thinks the Bengals & Chargers both have a shot to get in as the sixth seed. If the Jets win today they'll have the same record as the Chargers and they still play the Chargers HERE! Who knows? Let the chips fall where they may.
Hasty I will throw you a lifeline , unlike most of these posters I would have zero problem rooting for a Patriot win or 2 if it meant the Jets getting into the playoffs but the bad part of this scenario would be that THE JETS would have to actually do their part and win a bunch of these remaining games,,,,,IMO not happening.
