I can't blame Williams for checking out all of his options. He was with the Redskins before. He may want to check out how it is now. I'd rather be in New York and coach Jamal Adams, Leonard Williams, Marcus Maye, etc over the Redskins, but who knows? He may find it easier to deal with Gruden instead of Gase. Or he may realize the Jets are a much better choice and sign on.
This is beginning to drag.. Aren't there 2 HC spots still available? Maybe GW is after one of those and the Jets are plan B.
After seeing Gase in person , someone has to change the title of this post..it's giving me the hebie geebies
Unless the Jets are lowballing him with the salary, Gregg can't be liking foreskins more than the Jets. The situation is not even half way close. Here, he may get TWO shiny new toys by the end of the draft. TWO. [One in FA, backed by ~100M salary cap, PLUS #3 overall.] Foreskins can't match that kind of prospect whatsoever.
So your theory is that this matter was completely within the Jets control, and they just didn't do it for some reason? They were binging Netflix and forgot to call him? Or is it more likely that Gregg Williams may have his own ideas about his future?
haha. I totally commiserate with this. Someone posts something like, "The Jets suck because of this insightful reason that no one has mentioned before." It's like, "Wow, yes. That's a very good observation. I never thought of that." But when the truth hurts, it's hard to "like."
Well I'm guessing the post wasn't about his viability as a head coach. "I really think we should punt, mein fuhrer." "You cowardly swine!" "But it's 4th and 50, mein fuhrer." "Send in the 5-wide package!" "But all our receivers are dead or missing." "Then send in five tight ends!"
