I would agree with you on trusting the practice evaluations. However, when I see Rex say stupid shit like 'LOL, WE HAD THE BEST PRACTICE EVARRR' after getting blown out by the Dolphins, it makes me question his evaluation skills.
Coaches have been wrong on player evaluations before. Some guys break the typical player mold. Basically the thing for me is this. I know Tebow has weaknesses as a qb. But he has some strengths. He throws a good deep ball. He's as big as an ox yet is agile, quick and has a knack for gaining yards on the ground. His qb game in my opinion is conducive to the running backs also. There's more than that. But also the fact that he seems to be a part of winning teams. Call it luck or his teammates or whatever, it is a fact that his presence as a starter is tied to more winning than losing. Time will tell. Especially if he ever gets a chance to get first string reps in an offseason. I like Tebow the person, so I am biased. But these are just some of the things I look at and they give me optimism that Tebow can continue to be successful in this league.
