LOL, "if Marino was there everyone said the Jets would take him. Obviously they know something that we don't." Doh.

My favorite was when he said fullback...and you just hear people yelling Oh No!!

After watching that, I am laughing on the outside, but crying on the inside.

Wow. No wonder this franchise has been horseshit for years. Let's hope these newbies can turn it around!

My favorite part is the guy wearing the Jets painters' hat when they announce Lageman. Ah, the past.
That about sums it up for me. Yesterday's gone, and thankfully...so are painters' hats.

Thanx for the link. I don't think Freeman Mcneil nor Ken O Brien were blunders. Ken coulda been a real great QB with an offense around him. Dan Marino woulda been killed if he was QB of that Jets offense. At least Ken could move around.

that was too funny. there were at least 4 picks there where someone screamed out "NOOOOOOOO", and in every one of them the crowd was howling. lol tough crowd...

the best was the roger vick pick when someone screams out "OHHH NOOO!" priceless...

    the sapp saga was something......

there were 2 people in the org at the time that were bargaining heavily for sapp during his "fall" from the top few picks.....

the jets had targeted brady on their board and kotite was hell bent on getting him......no matter what scenario unfolded.

in fact - i was told that haley was heard saying i dont care if he was smoking grass 2 hours ago we should take him.

    curses.....

and the ken obrien - marino thing - IMO it was a blunder but not limited to the jets of course - alot of guys had marino very high on the board but were obviously scared off by the off field reputation. it has been speculated that walton nixed marino cause he didn't think marino could deal with his offense.

this year - cutler reminds me a bit like marino - on the field.

the roger vick pick......the lageman pick and the mike haight pick in 85 were the low lights of the 80's.....

the jets tried desperately to upgrade the oline in the mid to late 80's and whiffed big time at the top of the draft.

of course that was one of the reasons for obriens very quick downfall.

I would rate that video just above watching a child birth video as the toughest to watch.

We want Sapp!! We want Sapp!!....o...m....g.

that was an example of the pleasure/pain principle. It was funny but it hurt to watch. Freeman Mcneil was surely not a blunder.

Hindsight is clearly 20/20. There weren't too many people complaining about picking Toon over Rice at the time. And although nobody could ever touch Rice's stats, Toon was doing pretty well before the injuries started to affect his performance...

If Jerry were a Jet he wouldn't be what he is. The 49ers had Montana, the Jets had Ken O'Brien .
