Gotta take it in context. He is setting a goal to win the super bowl. He is setting his mind set to win the super bowl. If you don't have that mind set, what is the point?

Who's he talking about? New England? Seriously, with our QB and WR dilemma, we'd be lucky to go 8-8.

its your team. you have to love it. you should always expect more from them. why not go into every season saying we are going to win the superbowl even if there is no chance in hell it can happen? Its called having pride.

its like telling your wife or girlfriend that she is the most beautiful girl in the whole world when realistically it is most likely not true

exactly, you make an awesome point. of course you want the players on your team to set the goal to win the superbowl, isnt that the whole point of playing. do you want them to have the mind set like some of you guys and look at the schedule and team and be like "i think we will be lucky to be .500" what kind of mindset is that to be in as a player. you have to look and go into every game like it is the biggest of your career and believe that you can win

This board really is ridiculous sometimes, this is one of those times. What do you guys expect him to say? Uh looking at our Qb and Wr dilemma I can't see us being any better than 8-8? Get real fellas, every player from every team believe his team is going to win the SB during training camp and if they don't, they shouldn't be in this league.

LOL wtf you want him to say ............. " We blow dead monkeys as a team and will be lucky to win 5 games.... we are worse then the Raiders." He is just showing optimism, what is wrong with that?

As far as bulletin board material, it wasnt aimed at any one team and you would most likely get the same answer from a number of different players around the league. It certainly is not any worse then Ryan's," I am not here to kiss BB rings........"

Really its been awhile since this attitude permeated the team.... kudo's. At least they are not spouting ," Football is a process bs".,"

I think every player should think they're going to win the superbowl. Telling the media you're going to win the superbowl is definitely different than thinking you're going to though.

It's a shock to hear D'Brick say this. The entire team seems to have taken on the personality of Rex.

Really it is a shock for Brick to say anything. He is always accused of not having enough fire.

Maybe a coach like Rex is exactly what he needs to take his game to the next level. He is already an elite pass blocker, if he can get that attitutde focused to the run game he can certainly be one of the one elite LT's in the game.

As of now he is is somewhat one dimensional. He seems to be missing the fire that a good run blocker needs, as that is more of an attack mode vs pass blocking. One thing that isnt arguable is his talent level. This is exactly what we Jets fans have been looking for out of Brick since he was drafted, some fire. Now we get it and people are unhappy. That is a little bit mystifying.

I agree with everything you said. I just hope you're not putting me into the group of "unhappy" people. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what to think about all of this yet. I'm just shocked.
