There are a lot of decent DT's coming out, and if JRs like Branch and Okam come out, there would be a great chance a solid DT who was expected to go first pick would slip to the 2nd round. Guys like Tank Tyler, Okoye, Pitcock may slip.

How about Tim Crowder from Texas? He's a nice sized DE (6'5, 270lbs) who is very fast and athletic. Good size to stop the run as well. He would be a great pick up around the 3rd round or 4th, where he is expected to go.

Does anyone know anything about Turk McBride from Tennessee beyond that he is 6'4" 275 lbs and shifted from DE to DT and could be a great fit at the 3-4 end position?

Ray Mcdonald from Florida could also be a good fit to play DE for us. He's a bit of a tweener between DT and DE.

Another player that has intrigued me is Stanley Doughty (South Carolina). He is huge (330) and seems like a possible fit at the NT position. Here is a preseason report on him...

On defense nose tackle Stanley Doughty is a hard-working plugger on the inside who chases to get involved in the action. Quickly getting off the snap with excellent first step quickness, Daughty is a load to handle in the middle of the line. With more teams moving to the 3-4 defense he will be highly rated entering his senior campaign.
