I mean, for a 1 year deal at the veterans minimum, it'd be a no brainer to bring him in.

I just remember how he played last season against Oakland and it makes me cringe, I don't want him back, not one bit.

I disagree. I don't think he brings that much to the table and with all the young talent on the team, there has got to be a young player or two worth keeping over the likes of Cro and/or Pace.

Would love to have Cro back on a 1 year deal.

Tackling is way too important for a safety especially the way we play defense. Do you trust Cro making a saving tackle on a fly route? I sure don't.

I don't even want him back on a veteran minimum contract. He'll take away playing time from better players whom could morph into longer term starters for us. He's a black hole in man coverage and will rack up penalties in zone. No thanks.

I fully expect him to end up in jail within the next 5-7 years for back child support too.

I don't understand what the benefit would be. He was a disaster last year (and his last year during his earlier tenure with the jets he was also a disaster). The only thing you can say for him is that he knows Bowles system, but the Jets now have a bunch of other CBs who know Bowles system. Given his age, a one year deal would still be pretty expensive and, since its clear that based on his age he's not going to get better, then what's the point of having him take snaps from some of the younger CBs the jets? He was a good CB once, although incredibly inconsistent, with a habit of maddening play from time to time. Those times are gone - now he's just incredibly inconsistent with maddening play most of the time. He gambles a lot and doesn't get anywhere near the number of interceptions that would justify the gambles he takes and the TDs he gives up. It's time to move on.

If he comes back at Vet minimum and competes for a spot in camp then sure. Anything more then that and he can fuck right off.

For all those who object - would you still object if it is to replace Milliner?

I would. At least there's still some potential and hope with Milliner. With Cro there isn't.

Having Cro on the roster would be equivalent to when we had Brunnell on the roster useless

The only thing crow could potentially gives us is length. He was an ideal cover for guys like Buress and taller recievers without wiggle. Now he is being exposed by offenses and they try to create match ups with quick breaking WR's. He is a situational CB at this point in his career and I don't want him back. Thanks for the memories
