The 10 million in space we have is calculated already with the rising cap.

Overthecap projecting now 21.7M cap space for with 155M cap. So 23.7M with additional 2M mentioned by Schefter. Cutting Kerley, Cumberland and Giacomini would leave us with 28.3M cap space and we don't even modified Ferguson's contract. So, Wilk tag + Fitz re-sign what we can easily afford us, don't even talk if we would trade Wilk before FA...

Initially we had 13M, with 8M that's 21 which is what is represented on http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/new-york-jets/

I guess the URL already took into affect the cap increase? Regardless we are in excellent shape to resign our major players. We will be close to 30M after we finalize some cuts. That's w/out Brick. I think we are in good shape.

EDIT - saw your previous post so the cap increase is already added in. Still good though.

It had to because it says our cap is at 135 if the max is 155 that's 20 million

Before the cut we were at 143 with the cap at 143 before the increase... that leaves us at 0 before the cut and increase

If it was 134.8 which it might have been why do the cap sites have us at 135 now after the Cro cut ? according to Cimini we should be at 127 ...

I just looked at Spotrac and have a question.

How did Winters end up getting more than Geno Smith this year?

Geno was a QB taken in round two, Winters was taken on day two in the same draft.

Year Total Liabilities Salary Cap (Projected) Cap Room
    2016 $135,815,960 $157,484,216 $21,668,256

That looks to be very conservative with the cap at 157.5 plus our 3 in rollover add in the 7 million we would save in cuts... that leaves us with 32.5 in space

Spotrac has us at $21.5 mil without Cromartie. Adding $2 mil to the cap gets us to $23.5 mil (unless you are projecting additional cuts).

At the end of the day if we make those cuts and the cap is at around 155 we will have 30 million to play with... factor in 20 for Fitz and Mo 5 for rookies... that leaves us with 5 million for other free agents plus if and or when we cut or restructure Brick.

If we sign Mo long term he might only cost us 12 million this year instead of 14/15

There was an article about it a week or so ago. Escalators for playing time.
