we're going to bring back essentially the same team that was 10-6 and should have been better. sure we are not going to own the headlines the first week of free agency. but we will convert some salaries to bonuses and add a bunch of lower tier players to compete with a few incumbents and last years picks to hopefully upgrade some weak spots. it only seems bleak right now because 1. there hasn't been any moves and 2. we aren't used to having to sit on the sidelines during the annual overspending spree.
I'm not sure we should have been better last year, but I think we can be better this year because of the strength of our coaching staff if Macc can keep the core intact. It won't be splashy, but it can work.
