You guys may get your wish, according to DeMarcus Ware anyways. Personally, I'd love to have RayRay playing ILB for us.
Wait, are they trying to sign 27 year-old Ray Lewis? No? Then why do they want to hand him ten million dollars a year? I would have rather they kept Moore and Baker.
I'm impartial...I wouldn't be pissed if we landed Lewis...nor would i if he signed elsewhere. I do endorse a Bart Scott signing though....110%
I prefer Ray Lewis for the hype and the player he is. Bart Scott would be the better option based on age and performance. If the JETS get Ray Lewis what # would he wear. David Harris has #52.
They should splurge for one guy (Bart Scott), maybe two (Ron Bartell). After that, the rest of the holes should be filled up via the draft and with bargain-priced free agents.
I agree...i don't expect the FA "shopping spree" to happen two years in a row.....but i do expect the Jets to blow their load on one or two high priced FA's. I mentioned this in another thread (NFL forum)....but i'm hoping the Jets take a look at CB-Jabari Greer from the Bills....27 years old (5 years in the league), pure cover corner, ballhawk.....He'd look sexy opposite Revis, IMO.
If the Jets sign Lewis, I will stop following the team that day. I will not follow a team that has a murder at MLB.
I would rather have Lewis than Scott for many reasons, but first and foremost for his leadership abilities. He is like an on the field coach. He is the greatest team motivator. He brings an attitude to the team that no one else does. He is much more than just a player.
Hey Popeye, were you there as a witness to the crime? I only ask because there seems to be different stories as to what happened that night. Can you enlighten us as to what "really" happened? Thanks.
I wonder if we'd get any Ray Lewis fans migrating to our board. Anyway, I'd support the signing of Lewis. Not only would he motivate Gholston, but i think he also might convince Rhodes to play a little more physically.
i know others have responded, but its time to let go of what he didn't get charged doing. he didn't have the weapon in his hand, he was charged with obstruction of justice, not murder. its time to move on and allow the greatest defensive leader in this era to be welcomed if he comes here.
