Choosing a kicker has got to be so annoying. You have to pick one based on how they do in practice knowing damn well that what they do in practice means nothing once they're on the field. I'm sure Folk looks like Adam Vinatieri in practice too. But whatever, I guess Brown impressed them enough to give him a shot.

I know things with Reed got nasty, but he is a super bowl winning, playoff tested kicker. Kris Brown is terrible. I mean, how many games did he cost Houston? I would stick with Folk, if those are my only options.

My rock-solid source shows he is with the Jets in 2010.

 

Jeff Reed seems to be the better kicker though. He is more accurate, while kicking in Heinz Field for at least half the season every year.

Reed was a huge choke artist this season. That's why he was fired.

Kris Brown has been a choke artist for the better part of bis career.

I'd rather see the Jets pay one shaky kicker this season than two.

 

I guess the Jets signed Brown. Wonder if this is just to light a fire under Folk or not. I'm not big into instability and uncertainty this far into the season. Guess we'll see how it goes.
