    Meh.

I shouted as loud as anyone from the mountain tops to be wary of Gholston...

    Yeah. it sucks.

That said, I'm still 1000x more ticked off about Dewayne Robertson - Given the circumstances that Bradway stated he wanted to make a splash after the RedSkins made him look foolish... (are you kidding me - is that how a GM should operate?????)
And given that Drob was a guy that few draftniks projected anywhere near that pick before the combine....

Gholston actually had decent numbers - Gholston had his college coach singing his praises and deflecting the criticism of taking plays off - Gholston was on every single Draft Site as a top 10 consideration....

Gholston also had to change positions unlike DSLOB.

Icing on the cake - DROB cost TWO FREAKING DRAFT PICKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing can really touch Drob in my book until you pony up 2 1st round picks for some Combine Climber few expertes discussed during the season that high.

Oh.. And I forgot 1 thing... The Drob draft was LOADED with D tackle prospects...

So I recently emailed Jason from Jetscap.com to ask for his reasoning as he seems to be the only one who feels cutting Gholston could come back to haunt us with dead money in the future.

The real answer seems to still be a wait and see, though I can't see the advantage to the owners or the players in forwarding dead money past 2010 as it takes away from owners' ability to negotiate and the money players would receive.

    My email :

Here's his response to my email:

Wonder who his "sources" are, but they gotta be better than ours considering the depth of information his website covers.

I came up with the Gladys moniker based on something from a skit on the Letterdude show.

    Vernon Gholston-LB-Jets Feb. 27 - 12:09 pm et

Coach Rex Ryan called this year a make-or-break season for OLB Vernon Gholston.
Ryan added that Gholston deserved more playing time to give him a chance to make an impression. It sounds like the former No. 6 overall pick is in no danger of being released before the start of the season.

Doesn't look like Gholstons going anywhere this year, but I wouldnt be surprised if they try and renegotiate his contract. With all the money he's making, something needs to be done.

Not that it will happen, but performance related.
