Possible but the way the quote was worded, it sounded like the rejection was coming from McCarthy’s end. I’m not sure I buy it yet. What if he goes to the Cleveland interview and he hates it? Sit out over take the Jets job? That one will hurt. McCarthy just left a “diva” QB why would he willingly accept another one?
Cimini reported earlier that Mccarthy wouldnt uproot his family from WI..he suggested the jets offer up a private Jet;Which im sure they would/did. Im willing to bet its a distance thing
Looks like we are going to get a second choice coach once again. Not feeling too confident about what type of coach we are going to wind up with. Guess Sam is not the draw our hierarchy thinks it is.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports two teams will consider pursuing Ravens coach John Harbaugh. The Ravens and Harbaugh are reportedly working on an extension, but other teams will continue to snoop around until that deal in finalized. Schefter writes Baltimore "has not given any indication it is willing to part ways with Harbaugh," but it is possible that changes if contract talks stall. I too fully endorse both yours and Cman views on MM. I'm sold on going the safe rout for a change. The Jets are not in a position to take yet another risk after a life long of misses and mediocracy. We don't have a front office that is savvy enough to go that route.

That would be amazing, but I doubt the Ravens would part with him, even if they lose today. He is clearly a great Head Coach.
They have the QB,,,,they have Chubb,,,,they have Garrett and a decent young defense----a decent draft position -----and they also have lots of cap space,,,,,,,and if he took that job no playing Brady and Belicheat twice a year
