Swagger doesn't scare me, it embarrasses me when players who are mediocre at best, and blow plays all the time, and have a consistent losing record jump up and down and pose when they get lucky and actually DO something positive.
Wasn’t really geared towards you. Nagle seems to use the word swagger 20 times a day. Fitting considering his username is the most boring unswaggery qb we’ve ever had.
If they do not sign him they are fools. I don't want another unproven person coming in and doing what Rex (last two... years)and TB did. Please sign him and stop the search.

The only good reason for not signing him yesterday would be if they wanted to see if John H loses today and becomes available. I'm not sure that's worth the risk if losing McCarthy though.

Connor Hughes this am on the FAN said the Jets really want McCarthy but are finishing up the interviews. Interesting, he said McCarthy doesn't get nearly enough credit for developing Rogers. Said when Rogers showed up he was extremely unpolished and was not the Aaron Rogers we now know and his ascension is heavily due to McCarthy. ALSO said when McCarthy joined the Packers, Favre had started a backslide and McCarthy came in and completely turned him around to put up some of his best years. Said he doesn't get enough credit for that either. I haven't looked at the numbers but it won't surprise me.
OR they just don't want him. My feeling is if you interview the guy on the top of your list and it goes well you don't interview anyone else. I don't hate Rhule I like him a lot we will see how this goes
Actually that is a well thought out post for the hiring of McCarthy, you nearly have me sold and I wanted a young innovative head coach, maybe we could hire one of those types at OC instead
McCarthy knows his criticisms. It would be wise to get an “innovative” OC who has a relationship within his coaching tree. Idk. I’m hoping for a Hail Mary here and Harbaugh breaks free of Baltimore. I’d die if the Jets somehow manage to get him. Guy exudes capability.
This is very dejecting, the LaCanfora info. With our QB, draft, salary cap, and divisional situation, to not be able to lure McCarthy here reflects very poorly on us And what the hell happened. He was here two days, reports are there was mutual interest. What changed? How did we Jet this up? Miami is going to be in heavy on John Harbaugh so we'd better be ready to outbid them. But we'll mess that up too I'm sure
Knew the Jets would screw this up. At least they have their jersey redesign coming up. Guarantee more time was spent on that than trying to sort out the actual football side of this franchise.
Disappointing not in the McCarthy is not coming aspect, but in the "The Jets can't even get big names with a Franchise QB because Mac and Christopher probably did something wrong" way.
What if McCarthy was the unimpressive loser that the Packers thought so highly of they fired him mid season after a SB victory and developing Rodgers?
If McCarthy isn’t interested then it’s probably because they told him he’s got to adjust to the modern NFL or hire an OC that would. In which case this is phenomenal news.
