He didn't say that he is referring to Torontojets' post (#151). However, you are correct in saying the Ravens and Jets are not carbon copies. We have similar game plans but thats it.
The Bengals played Adrian Peterson and Minnesota. Your original statement was based solely on numbers. Now you want to add level of competition, too?
we also held Brees to 190 yrds passing and 0 TDs. I think Rex's scheme will deal with SD's passing game effectively. Don't think we'll shut it down...but Rivers shouldn't destroy us thru the air either.
On the topic of stats: Defence Total vsPass vsRun pts/game Chargers 16th 11th 20th 20 Jets 1st 1st 8th 14.8 Offence Total Pass Run pts/game Chargers 10th 5th 31st 28.4 Jets 20th 31st 1st 21.8 From a numbers perspective, pretty even. Of course, I am a bit biased, I'd give the edge to the JETS. Even considering San Diego played Oakland twice, Kansas City twice, Denver twice and Cleveland and Washington. Reasonably soft schedule there I think.
Call me crazy, but the more I think about this game and the match ups, the more I think the Jets have a great shot at winning. I don't think SD can stop our run, and they're pretty one dimensional on offense. If Rex has shown nothing else, it's the ability to really attack a one dimensional offense. SD will need to run the ball effectively to win this game IMO.
i think we matchup well against sd, they have a pocket statue qb, and they like throwing the deep ball, these things benefit us.
Mr. Ryan will have headaches on Sunday. VJ will get his catches, maybe no TDs, but he will advance the ball. Revis might be good but he's never covered someone like VJ this season. Ocho Cinco? C'mon, he's a clown. Moss? He's a quitter. TO? He's a whiner. Fresh rotation on the Chargers' DL will wear out your OL. It all comes down to Sanchez, a rookie. I see multiple INTs coming Cro's way and the safeties. There is no way Mr. Ryan can scheme against Rivers' offense.
You are a mild troll with a heavy dose of stupidity. Please watch and understand football more before you decide to pollute this board with your mindless crap.
Hey WhiteShoes... that wasn't my assessment. But rather the quote above my post. I believe it was "McLovin" from the Dan Patrick show who originally wrote that up. Jet fan above me agreed with it. I don't agree 100%...
I've got news for you. The "fresh rotation" has come as a result of injury to your DL, NOT from an overabundance of depth. It's a coping mechanism, and one that has worked decently. It's sure as hell not going to disrupt our OL. BTW, our "front 7" will be worn down by your DL? You do realize that the "front 7" doesn't refer to our offense, right?
huh? i wasn't disagreeing with you, Winnie.....i was merely stating that troll's post shouldn't be taken seriously.
Yes, and remember going into that game everyone was saying Brees would light us up due to being the best QB against the blitz? People are saying that about Rivers now except he is top 5 against the blitz, not the best.
it will be a tough test...that's a given. Because we had Jenkins for the Saints game. But Rivers shouldn't carve us up.....we can hang, IMO.
