Because they have plenty of holes to fill plus the new coach may want to work with Clausen. Plus the Panthers would get a fortune just for moving down 2 spots to pick 3rd. We'd likely have to give up our first, second, and next years 1. If there is a bidding war over him between other teams it could cost even more! But i'll give up whatever it takes to get a franchise QB. Panthers can draft either Bowser or Green with their pick.
Waitasecond. Well, waitasecond here. Waitasecond. What does da guy need commers for? And what is dis nonsense about Edwids bein' da betta QB if da Jags go furder den da Jets? Da guy doesn't even start. Ya can't compare him to Sanchez. It doesn't make any sense. Get lawst. Get lawst. I can't take anymore of dis babble.
You don't trade away the next Peyton Manning because you want to groom Jimmy fucking Clausen or because you have holes to fill. You get the most important piece to the puzzle and build around him.
Heading into the playoffs while going from 9-2 to 11-5 or 10-6 is not a good thing by any stretch. Don't be a homer.
That Buffalo guy must think there's a football game this weekend or something. Instead of a scrimmage.
no it's not a good thing, but keep in mind 2 of the losses were on the road against the #1 seed in the afc and a possible #2 seed in the nfc. the miami loss was a head scratcher. the win in pitt. was huge.
No one said it's good, it just not "backing in". Not when you clinch prior to the last week of the season.
Did I go to bed a Jets fan and wake up a Steelers fan or something? Making the playoffs is an accomplishment. It isn't enough by any stretch but you kinda need to make the playoffs to get to the bigger goal.
Agreed and agreed, and going 2 years in a row is fine too, but I don't see anything to be proud of in the past month. If they lose to Buffalo that'll just be the icing on the cake.
So Manning came out in 98. Brady came out in 2000. I still don't get how Luck would be the best QB to come out in decades...without even playing a snap in the NFL. To be honest, I have a lot of sympathy for you.
