Well there was the second half of the Pats game. Uh, the FIRST Pats game. Then there was... Let me get back to you.
Schotty needs to find a way of getting Keller involved in the offense. You can't have a weapon like him and not use it. The predictability of his playcalling has to change, also. He is obviously going to give Sanchez some easy completions to start the game so as to get him into some kind of rhythm and boost his confidence, but he has to change his tendencies, also.
I fear Miller's return makes a bad situation even worse. Someone mentioned rust. He only went down two weeks ago. He's only had roughly three catches a game, but their coaches will figure out he's just the kind of receiver who creates matchup problems for the Jets. In a low scoring affair, Pitt has the edge. 14-9 Steelers. And ftr this is the first game this season I felt the Jets were going to lose since the Ravens game.
So you needed OT to 19 on the Bills but you'll put up 24 on us? Your offense isn't good you realize that? This week the offense comes to play, it really is their time in the cycle, but our defense is also ready too. Since the Steelers will be daring Mark to throw, I see him having another good game and calming all the critics, I mean fans. 27-9 JETS SPECIAL TEAMS HAS A MAGICAL DAY AS WELL!!
The Steelers defense scores points. The lone TD in their game @ Bal was basically cus of that big defensive play and both their TDs vs the Bengals were defensive TDs.
says the mighty jets O averaging 4.5 ppg over the last 2 weeks?? this is the type of game I can see the Jets winning though honestly, but it's gonna be another cold, sloppy slugfest and Sanchez HAS to regain his mojo
That's why I pointed out the offense coming together for this game. People around here act like we've had no offense all year, we've had 2 bad games in a row for the first time all season. Mark and Co. will pull it together.
I spent 15 minutes explaining my issues with Shotty and obvious flaws in his system but the thread was deleted. Basically, take out the pre-snap motion, cut out the long-developing passing plays, simplify the playbook, and swap LT/Greene's workload.
I just addressed that above, I guess scoring 10 against Cleveland was a fun game to watch too. It's not like Miami is lighting it up, in fact you're second to last in points per game so I might not want to bring that up if I were a Phin fan.
haha I know trust me ... I was just saying, I can see you guys winning this game but more of like a 17-14 type deal. I just don't see you guys dropping 27 IN Pittsburgh, no less
Ha- Sounds crazy but this team has been crazy all year. Heading into our 13th game and no one can really put their finger on the offense.
Can you show me the game where the offense put it all together? Point to a game where you can really say "This is the game that shows how good they can be." This isn't two bad games, this isn't consistently struggling since the bye week. You're 13 games into the season, the time for promise and potential is over.
Put it all together for 4 quarters or won the game based on our offense? vs Ne, 28-14 vs Bills, 38-14 vs Miami, 31-23 Sanchez 8 Td, 0 INTs Against Detroit, Cleveland, and Houston our offense, more specifically Mark won the game and had the most passing yards in the league during that stretch.
Great, you just guaranteed that we're going to get 2 FGs blocked, and two kick returns against us for TDs
I will say in the 1st game against us, you guys were pretty impressive on offense. I came onto this site right after the game and raved about Keller and Sanchez. Sanchez was money all game that night and made some beautiful throws that left me screaming out things in my living room. lol
Steelers offense is almost as bad as ours laetely. They couldnt score on the Ravens, only because the fumble. Then the Bengals they couldnt score a TD. I have a funny feeling we are going to be playing with a high sense of urgency. The Steelers won't be. They got a playoff spot. The Ravens aren't going to take their 2 seed. The Steelers can't catch the Patriots. They really dont have much to play for besides the fact it just maks their record look better.
The Steelers are only a game ahead of the Ravens so they can't just treat this game like it doesn't mean anything. Although the Ravens do play the Saints in Baltimore in what should be a great game, I don't think it would be a great shock to seem them win, which means the Steelers must play to hold serve on them.
