We seemed to be everybody's upset pick, so I am happy we won. I knew it would be a close one. A win is a win.
Pats struggled BIG TIME without Brady. I am surprised the coach did not have a heart attack right on the spot, when Brady was slammed in the knee and taken off the field.
It shouldn't have been that close. We were better than that (2 of 4 in the red zone). But a win is a win fellas and a really important one going into a tough next 2 weeks. Im pretty relieved. Well done revis a big play to wrap it up.
Well that shows that you have no Clue Buddy. This team looks like that team..Please. Give me a break. Chad made every JET fan sweat and as I said b4, if he had a better Team, It may have ended different. And for you to say "....the 'Fin's weren't such a "sucky team" when it came to their running game." Means you Totally did not watch the game and have no Idea What you are talking about. Miami was 17 for 49 for a 2.9 Avg!!!! WHAT ARE YOU WATCHING!!!???? You're Dismissed....
A win in the opening day is always very important, no matter what. No one should be too thrilled about the performance, but we needed this one and very glad we got it. Lowery and Revis with the clutch plays, well done guys.
Good news: -The addition of Jenkins helped as much as advertised stuffing the Dolphins' run -Favre threw the ball well and is getting more of a hang of the playbook -Jones and co. ran the ball well -Revis kept Ginn under wraps -The D did at times get some pressure on until the umbrella defense late Bad news: -As usual the D crapped out late and let Chad throw for 250+. I can't remember the last time he had that many yards for us, and they don't even have any offensive weapons to speak of other than the RB's who we shut down and the TE who was second-string in Dallas. -Again as usual couldn't put a game away. -A lot of sloppiness in terms of penalties, though most were on the o-line and they're getting used to each other too -Kellen Clemens is our emergency kicker, really?
Favre looks stellar in that Jets uniform, running and jumping down the field, with his arms up in the air, and his finger saying #1........LOVE it!!!! It is going to be a good season!!!
The fact that it was such a panic when Nugent got hurt was ridiculous. There is no reason why Graham shouldn't be capable of an extra point or short field goal. The fact that they had Clemens practicing them was embarrassing. They did their best to keep Miami in the game and that was terrible. They made that guy Fasano look like Kellen Winslow in his prime. Revis, Jenkins, Ellis and Barton had good games on D. And Lowery, who looks like a great pick, along with Rhodes. Eric Smith to me is always just good enough to get beat on big plays. I didn't like the OL on pass protection at all. Favre was getting hit alot. Thomas Jones had a fantastic game, Leon Washington quiet. The play calling at the end was too conservative.
HOWEVER.....a win is a win is a win, and a GREAT way to start the season. It will be easier next week, with Brady out.
Hopefully he is out. It'll be interesting later on tonight (hopefully) when we find out the extent of the injury.
Correct, when you say a win is a win. And Miami will be better this season, so a road win vs. a division rival is nice.
lol if you're gonna get a penalty on that u gotta make sure revis doesn't catch it thus, revis = unstoppable
