We were completely dominated on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Not good. Just a really bad day at the office. We lost to a much better football team............that's all. If we lose to Detroit, I will be believing all those that said we would only get 6 wins this season. We simply can't lose to Detroit.
nobody was open all day, Pennington had time but had to force things because they were behind by so much
OK twombles, back to class. It is much more important to get a good edumacation than to worry about the Jets.
Mangini has the owner and the GM on his side and it appears he has the players on his side as well and enough of the press has started coming around to give him some air. We have played 5 games. 3 of those games were against teams that were much more talented than us and we lost all 3. One of them was on the road against a team with at least as much talent as us and we beat them and the other game was on the road with a team not as good as us and we beat them. We have 2 rookies on the OL. We have 3 decent starting caliber players on our front 7 and a very young unit in the secondary that haven't been playing together for very long. The Jets under Pennington didn't match up today with the Jags in any facet of the game. On top of that they were clearly in a most win situation at home. They layed the lumber to us and Pennington again failed to get off to a good start and against this team today that was death. Mangini is not the problem, it is the incredible bad drafts this team has had on the front 7 and OL over the last 5 years that is the problem. In spite of that we have won 2 games both on the road. That's a sign of a well coached team.
Pennington again failed to get off to a good start and against this team today that was death. ... winstonbiggs compare his lobs against leftwich's laser passes and you tell me who can try to force a ball between defenders. it was a classic noodle arm performance.:shit:
And The Noodler is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe the Jets can trade for Schaub before the 10/17 trade deadline?
You may be correct here. However, the Rams ran up the score against the Jets in 2001 and Denver did the same last season. Maybe in 2001 he had to, but Edwards didn't have to pay dues in 2005. Furthermore, Edwards never acted like an arrogant ass.
 from the new york times: Chad Pennington threw two interceptions that Jacksonville (3-2) turned into touchdowns, Pennington finished 10-of-17 for 71 yards. He was picked off three times and sacked three times. Brian Williams intercepted Pennington's second pass of the game. Pennington rolled right and threw behind Laveranues Coles,But the rout was just getting started.Pennington's next pass was intercepted by Terry Cousin, and Leftwich made the most of a short field. Leftwich found Reggie Williams across the middle for a 16-yard score -- three plays after Pennington was intercepted for the third time.:shit: maybe the jets SHOULD trade for schwalb before the deadline.hmy:
Trust me. "Schwalb" would not be the answer. It is odd that a team gets shutout 41-0 and only passes for only 45 yards when the team has a credible quarterback. Last year the Jets lost 30-3 to Carolina and only passed for 77 yards. Much of that was due to the QB being so limited. Even in the Denver debacle the Jets gained yards passing in garbage time. They lost 27-0 but passed for 176 yards.
