Except I provide FACTS and back up my arguments while the Herm haters just blame all the negative stuff on him. If herm was the coach today we'd har nothing but how this is Herm's fault, if herm went on 4th and G and cost us a game like EM did last week he would have been skewered but b/c it wasn't Herm it was considered a "good move".

They kept fighting, the ONLY game I ever saw them come close to quitting under Herm was Dallas 2003.

Between the Jacksonville game in 2002 and the KC game in 2005 Jet teams never quit. During that 44 game streak the Jets were in every game with a chance to win late in the 4th quater except one (2nd NE game in 2004 althogh they almost fought their way back in).

You can say whatever you want about Edwards teams but they came out to play every game and they played hard with enthusiam. The 2002 and 2003 teams arguably had the worst talent in the league but they fought every game. During those years we had 6 defensive starter who probably could not have made a real NFL roster besides start for a team.

The 2003 team was one of he best coaching jobs i have ever seen. That team should nto have won more than 1-2 games. But it was not winning 6 games that made that team special it was staying in all 16 games, never giving up and having a chance to win every game besides being out matched so largey in talent game after game.

That whole Edwards "you play to win the game" bit was based on the perception the Jets had quit in games and were just playing to play as opposed to actually caring about winning.

bingo...it is obvious that they, as most of the NFL, has zero respect for Barlow. They will drop coverage every time he is in the backfield. At least they have to account for Washington...a little bit

Chad's still having an awesome year. And I will not let this game change my mind otherwise. We'll find out whose ready to dump Chad the second he has a poor game.

Is this the kind of game that sticks with the team for the rest of the season?

At this point I just don't want to be shut out, or lose as bad as the Bills did.

Didnt know the Jets of 05 had a nickname...now its the "undermanned 05 Jets" huh?

Junc...the Jets suck today..they are horrible...just as bad as the herm edwards Jets during the teddy cotrell years that allowed the Raiders to run the ball 18 times in a row.

Who cares what the score is. The difference is that defenders of Mangini (im one) can easliy admit that the Jets suck today.

Herm lovers like yourself have to come on here today and say things like "see!!! see!!!....these guys are playing worse for Mangini".

Its childish. Both Jets suck...who cares...you will never change anyones mind that Herm sucked too...and today is a horrible time to bring up his name.

Plus hes losing to the Cardinals... with those gritty gutty undermanned Chiefs.

The Jets quit the moment Chad got injured, and Herm's dinner in KC didn't help. That team quit more thoroughly than any team I've seen in a decade.

So don't worry. No one will be deflecting blame from Mangini and his staff for this one. This buck clearly stops at EM's desk.
