I completely understand that. I am not against having him with the team and don't discredit his experience. He may be a tough SOB, but he is still slow and old. He can be just as valuable at the 3rd spot as he is in the back up role. Does being the back-up provide him with a platform from which to speak to Sanchez that being 3rd string does not? Is it simply a respect thing for the guy's seniority? If that is it, than that is it. But I still think Clemens would be a better back up at this point in both his career and Brunell's.
Let's watch DW put some more Eagles out on the UE line...and more Philly fans go home with a headache
Brunell is the #2 because his strongest asset is not turning the ball over. Something you don't get with Clemens. Obv there's more in his arm and more upside with Clemens. All they will ask of Brunell in the event of a Sanchez injury is that he doesn't turn the ball over and keeps the team in the game, something you can rely on him pretty well for, not the case for Clemens. No one is expecting him to throw for 300 yards and 3 TD's. He'd be the starter if that was the case.
on that clemens fumble it looked like he rolled his wrist... any word on what happened to him? i got my gf yappin with her mom blocking out the audio.
ArmandoSalguero Jake Long came back out with the team after halftime and doesn't seem to be worse for wear. He's not playing but it doesn't look terrible. 3 minutes ago via TweetDeck
