Great football was just played by the Jets during the 2 minute warning. Chad to Coles for a 1st down. Chad to Cotchery for a 1st down. Fake Spike, and Chad gets it down the field with :01 second left. Nugent comes, and misses the FGA. That was rough to watch. Only 37 yards, what went wrong? :sad: I expected a lot more from this offense early on. The defense is doing well only because they haven't let the Bills score yet. Hopefully with the Jets getting the ball at the half, things are different and they get some points on the board.
I love the NFL.com headline "Browns threatening to shock Ravens" They're winning 24-3! Im pretty sure at this point they're doing a bit more than threatening :lol:

Drives 1 and 2. Those were not 3rd down plays. A loss of 1-5 yards should not kill a drive. Drive 3 the sack, lack of hit to the head call, and out of nowhere clipping call killed the drive. Drive 4 - check down after check down staying inbounds is NOT moving the ball well with 1:30 left on the clock and 80 yards to go. Chad's last two passes were good enough in that they gave Coles a chance to make plays downfield. I hope we didn't just karma kill ourselves by failing to get points after the fake spike.
Jones has run pretty well.. The WRs haven't dropped any balls.... The only thing the holes true is the FG... Outside of the one deep one to Coles, Chad hasn't made a good throw beyond 5 yards all day.... And that one was high too, another one of those,'Oh God, the WR is gonna die' throws...
1:53 from the 20 with 3 timeouts and we wind up kicking a FG... Now that's a Chad two minute drive in a nutshell.
It seems as though we're in shape to really take charge of this game. Just tighten us the secondary and we should be fine.

Have you ever rooted for a team that had a QB with an arm? I have to tell you, I've been watching the Jets for 36 years and football in general for the same period of time and I have never seen a starting QB with as weak an arm as Chad. 5 years ago I'd have told you it was not possible for somebody with that bad an arm to keep a starting job in the NFL. Except for the Jets it's not.

Penalties kill drivs whether on 1st down or 3rd down, it's hard to overcome them. Sometimes you do but the %s go way down. he got us in position for a 37 yd FG when we started at the 20 w/ just 1:45 to play. Chad hasn't been great but he hasn't been hurting us either. It's just the mob mentality looking for a scapegoat.
Yes, he does have a weak arm, but the way you guys are blaming him, it sounds like he's 0 for 17 with 4 picks. He's having a solid game, not great but not terrible either. Our whole offense is to blame, not just Pennington
I love the people who say "Clemens would be doing worse". THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE! The issue is Pennington is having a BAD game. He should be playing better than this against such a bad defense. Yes he has a high completion %, but most of his passes have been within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage! What else do you expect!? This really has nothing to do with Clemens, bottom line is CHAD needs to play better. Blocking has been good, the running game has been working, what more does he need? Attack this weak ass defense already!
