Guys, I'm saying that these are who I consider to be the "most likely" teams that we could beat, and I stand by my list including the Panthers. I would believe The Panthers to be a difficult match-up sure. The teams I would have on a easiness scale goes like this: Browns, Bills, Panthers, Jaguars, Dolphins, Chargers.
The Chargers ( might win the Afc West) and the Jaguars are light year better than the Jets right now. Outside those two teams you mention , I can't see the other teams being much better than the Jets. The Jets defense in 2017 isn't going to be as great as a lot fans think. It's very tough to start two rookie safeties( major growing pains there) and their CB position still isn't very good.( the teams the Jets play will shred that secondary). Still don't have a Pass rushing Lb that can consistently put heat on the Qb. The Jets aren't going to be very good next season, but that doesn't mean this franchise isn't heading in the right direction. It's just going to take time , and the fans have to show some patience. They need to find that franchise Qb somewhere- this changes the franchise outlook immediately.
Nah man, chill out a bit Jackson, ain't satisfied with mediocrity, if anything I see an emerging football team. Buckle up bunny rabbit, cause the Jets are gonna be a fun team to watch this season.
I admire the optimism. There are 2 scenarios for the 6+ win season. 1) Hack (or Petty) proved he is the FQB. 6 wins were a drag down from what should've been 10+ by limited training, rookies everywhere and dumb coaching errors. 2) Hack (or Petty) proved he is mediocrity. 6 wins were a drag up from what should've been 3-4 wins by surprise and luck. I'll sign off for (1), this would be the dream came true. (2) will mean another 3 years of misery.
I'm chilling, Clyde. I was just using your term of endearment and inviting you to do the same as you invited us.
Peter King is a Patriots lover and a Jets hater, so this is no shock. Until the Jets get anything out of Hackenberg or Petty, this will be common among analysts. Not a great roster, no QB, not a good combo. I don't think they are the #32 team in the NFL, but I get writers and analysts saying so. Especially at the end of May before anything has happened yet.
we will know after week 5 (cleveland) if he is right..we will probably be 0-5 if we lose that game. and we are not the worse keep this in mind..buffalo has two first round picks because of a good trade and cleveland has two first and two seconds because of good trades too and guess what they will be drafting in the first round next year? our moron still can't figure out you need a qb in this league, next year he will probably take linebackers in the first and second.
You can make similar analysis for every team's D. Instead of listing our weaknesses, try listing our strengths. And when you do, be sure to include our young guns and 2nd yr guns. Go....
and a blathering know nothing blowhard. This is a kiss of death for any hope of the 1st pick, or any high pick, next year.
