QFT. I pretty much just had to stop reading his posts b/c the premise behind the first sentence was so wrong. Look, I'm not saying we shouldn't take Mcfadden. If he's there and Gholston is gone I say screw trading down and grab the man. With that being said, anyone without bias can plainly see the Leon Washington has wheels. Yes you could argue he is quick or agile more then he is straight fast. But to me that's more a compliment to his change of direction ability then a bash on his top end speed. When I was used to play CB in school I use to worry about the guys like Leon, there ability to move in any direction without slowing down much makes him a threat, and hopefully our revamped helps him show his ability more this season. IF leon gets caught, I'm sure either a) that guy had a great angle on the play or b) leon had to juke someone and in doing so lost some speed. Either are completely acceptable, this is football not a track meet. I'll take a guy with top flight agility and acceleration over some track star (not saying Mcfadden is...) any day. Still, keeping my fingers crossed for Mcfadden
LenDale White is a better pure RB too. Bush can actually be called a tweener on offense, with his WR/RB capabilities. I think Bush won't have the impact everyone thought he was going to when he was drafted.
And I forgot to add: The only thing better then having 1 explosive player on Offense might be having say....MORE then 1 explosive player. Are you guys for real?? We can't have 2 explosive rb's...since when is that such a bad idea? I'm sure Jacksonville regrets the day they got MJD to run with Fred Taylor !?!
Washington vs. McFadden I'm sorry. I'm kind of stupid? Sometimes it takes me a long time to figure out what people are saying on his message board. Are some posters on this thread actually trying to say that Leon Washington is a better running back than Darren McFadden? Because, that is such a weird statement that I will have to go back to the insane asylum to try to figure it out. IMHO... The Jets need to take the best player available, no matter who they are, at the 6 spot. I know here's talk that they, and everyone else, will attempt to trade down from their postition and I am OK with that too. But if you think Leon Washingon is the answer to the Jets offensive problems? Whoops.
283 attempts and only 6 plays of 20 yards or more. The stats don't don't lie, washington doesn't have break away speed......... call it what you want.
