Haha, the hidden X factor in today's NFL. For more insight, we've brought in Michael Irvin as an analyst.....
Good post. San Deigo, Pittsburgh, and Jacksonville all lost this week, while the jets won. The season is over!!!
Great. What's even better is after two weeks of going backwards, the coaching staff finally returned to their aggressive tendencies: 1) Throwing the ball down the field 2) Playing the best players (Washington should've been the man weeks ago) instead of wasting possessions with Barlow While my initial post was faulty because I got caught up in how other teams were doing; the main reason I wrote it was because of my disappointment in the way Mangini seemed to be sliding away from the Belichick rules and into Hermland. Mangini and Shott seem to be back on track. (Of course, if they try to get cute and give Barlow the rock back this week--all bets are off!!!!!!!!!
The only teams I would give PO slots to at this moment are Indy & NE. With SD now losing Merriweather for 4 weeks there stock begins to drop & Den begins to bubble up.
NFL is a long season. If Brady goes down, the Jets would be the favorite to win the division. Big Ben did go down and that hurts the Steelers in the quest for a wildcard. SD has lost 2 LB's this past weekend with Merrimen(not weather, haha) and Shaun Phillips is out 4-6 weeks with a leg injury. Seems SD could be the "best team not to make the playoffs" for a 2nd straight year.
