I don't understand why it's taking so long for Mcknight to get some offensive snaps. Are they installing one offenseive play with him a week? Maybe after the bye, he'll be involved in 2 more offensive plays.
That makes me nuts too. Even Sanchez did it running out of bounds in a previous game. Get the fuck past the boundary line, then celebrate.
They need to, they are clearly lacking from 1 of the 3 WR's and outside of Keller our TE's suck. Plax is such a downgrade from Edwards it's sickening. We are stuck with Burress and his inability to do much right now so McKnight presents the best opportunity for somebody else to step up and make some plays. Talk about just stupid penalties, he doesn't offer much catching the ball and his blocking... let's just say he is a downgrade from Hartsock.
I'm up for trading Cromartie as long as strickland is coming back... Get what you can for this scrub he can only push people out of bounds.... Mulligan seems to be so behind on every play I Hope Joe McKnight gets more plays( Tosses, Screens, Draw plays, WR/RB reception) This Kid is the best talent on the team right now Kendrick Ellis should some flashes tonight! I really liked how they pushed around the OL With Wilk, Pouha, And Ellis Looks promising Hopefully Schotty has a way to attack the defense in the 1st quarter... and Keep are defense off the feild its whats really killing them this year
Agree with everything. I couldn't believe Sparano punted the ball on 4th and short at around the 40. You're 0-4, take a freaking risk. The punt was pinned deep in Jets' territory, so it worked out okay, but grow some balls. And throwing on 3rd and a foot there when they had the running game going was stupid, especially when you're going to punt on 4th down! That was pathetic! I didn't realize at the game Bush got hurt. That explains a lot. He's the type of back that can give us issues on the outside. We really miss Bryan Thomas on the edge, he was a really good run stopper. I like Maybin, though, glad he's around. Whoever was ripping ESPN for saying we are a 8-8/9-7 team, based on what we've seen this year, how can you disagree with that? Dallas handed us a win, and our other wins are against teams that are 1-10. We still have a crappy running game and a crappy passing game, and neither have shown signs of breaking out except for a drive here or there. This Chargers game is going to be huge. Win, and I'll get a lot more optimistic about our team.
That deep pass that Sanchez overthrew is exactly why schotty doesn't want him throwing so much. He nearly had an int. But anyway I'm happy we won now we have a big test next week against the chargers.
In his defense I think he expected plax to actually move forward as his legs were moving, but it Didn't happen.
We should stop trying to run the short passing game. Sanchez seems jumpy on the quick routes and doesn't get his feet set. On the longer developing routes he is forced to set up, much better. Greene may not be a feature back. I would like to see what McKnight can do as a feature back. We got very lucky last night early. The Dolphins should have put up 2 TD's and we came away with a 7 3 lead. Guys wide open in the end zone. A better QB and it's a different game. Our safety play is atrocious in the passing game. The line play on both sides was very good. Revis is not only great his reputation is starting to pay off. Great players get the benifit of the doubt and that will pay dividends for us for years. Lots of fixable stuff if we can get to the bye with another win we may get this thing going. The safety play is a problem I'm not sure we can fix?
