He also threw 33 tds and almost 5000 yards last year. Is trading the 6th pick for three years of Brees worth it? I think so.
Marshall - $7.5 mil Harvin + $10.5 mil Revis - $16 mil Harris - $7 mil Carpenter - $5 mil Skrine - $6 mil Powell - $1.5 mil So far we have about $32.5 mil less than we started with leaving roughly $25 mil.
Possible targets: Gilchrist S Wisniewski OG Orakpo OLB Henry Melton DE Kendrick Ellis DE CJ Spiller RB Also need to extend some of our guys starting with Snacks.
We would but NO saves no money on their cap, they would only benefit by getting picks. I still haven't seen anything else on that rumor.
Don't we save some cap space by resigning Powell and Harris? There has to be some dead money in there somewhere.
They were both unrestricted free agents. Signing Harris only served to limit the chance of us getting a compensatory pick for him next year.
Just curious, where the HELL is this Drew Brees notion coming from? I haven't seen it reported from somewhere legitimate all day. In other news, HIGH FIVES ALL AROUND BABY #revisisland
@ConnorHughes SOURCE: Even with Revis signed, #Jets are still interested in CB Antonio Cromartie. Source: “Talks are still alive"
Next three moves in no particular order 1) Extend Wilkerson (take care of our young core guys) 2) Sign Cromartie 3) Sign Culliver Then draft 1) OL 2) OL 3) OL 4)OL
Would love to add Spiller to extend the ability of our offense. Do that, re-sign Wilks, and add a difference maker at #6. I'm smitten.
I have a feeling Sam Bradford is going to be the Jets starting QB next year. There is absolutely no chance that the Eagles end up paying around 22 million for Bradford and Sanchez combined, not to mention that Bradford doesn't fit Kelly's system at all. Obviously the Eagles will want to trade Bradford as part of a deal for Marriota but if he is off the board by #6, I really wouldn't be shocked if they trade him to us anyways for something else.
