1. @ Houston --- W (I do believe they our going to break out this year but I think we will come out fired up and lockdown slaton and sustain the damage that andre johnson will do.) 2. NE --- W (After seeing how Brady reacted to some pressure, missing throws and not stepping up to make passes.....We will take this one with the help of our pressure) 3. Tennessee --- W (Same as last year, I really dont see us having trouble with them.) 4. @ New Orleans --- L (too much fire power I think we will lose this one) 5. @ Miami --- W (Monday night football, dolphins.....enough said.) 6. Buffalo --- W (Very poor offensive line trent edwards is going to be on his butt all game and being yelled at on the sidelines by T.O. because he cant get him the ball.) 7. @ Oakland --- W (Surprisingly close game but we will pull it off.) 8. Miami --- L (Not the second time we will lose by a field goal) 9. Jacksonville --- L (Another close banger that we lose ) 10. @ New England --- L (Brady is back to full form after getting knocked around and beats us this time) 11. The only potential wins are Tennessee, one of the Miami games, one of the Buffalo games, Oakland, and either Tampa or Cincinnati. This team is just not that good. 5-11.
Waht exactly makes you say that? Our defense only got better with the additions of Scott, Shepard, and Leonard. Our Offnese lost Coles, Baker, and Favre. Favre was the main reason for the collapse last year. As long as one of our QB's can have a Kyle Orton type season we can finish around 500 like last seasons bears, whos defense was rated lower than ours last season and receiving core is jsut as unproven as our current one. 5-11 is a very low prediction.
1. @ Houston --- Win 2. NE --- Loss 3. Tennessee --- Loss 4. @ New Orleans --- Loss 5. @ Miami --- Win 6. Buffalo --- Win 7. @ Oakland --- Win 8. Miami --- Win 9. Cincinnati --- Win Record: 8-8 At Best No playoffs
There is no way the Jets lose the a Chad Pennington led team ever with Rex Ryan as HC. Also, I think that the only playoff to come out of the AFCE will be the division winner. Playing the AFCS and the NFCS is just to hard to expect one of the 3 teams that dont win the division to win the WC.

Not sure if 10-6 will get it done in 2009 though.
No QB, so-so O-Line, disgruntled aging RB, backed up by unproven rookies, no standout WR. On D, still no pass rushing lineman. Solid linebackers, up and down D-backfield. Rookie headcoach. Adds up to a losing season. Yet again.
Our O-line is So-so? Jones, while Aging, Led the AFC in rushing. Leon is not an unproven rookie. 3-4 D-linemen are not supposed to be the main pass rushers in our alignment. Pittsburgh led the 3-4 teams in sacks last year, thier lineamn with the most had 5.5. Ellis led the league for 3-4 lineman with 8. Up and down backfield? We improved our two weakest spots and have one of the best young shut down corners in the game. Your post shows a lack of knowlegde on how the 3-4 works and vastly underrates our O-line and running backs.
^Yes, the O-line is so-so. Give me one game last year where they dominated the game, especially late. Jones (and Washington, who is also disgruntled) gained alot of yards running out of the spread. True about lineman in the 3-4, but they have to get some forward pressure, especially the ends/tackles, to open it up for the LBs. We have no one that does that regularly on the line. Revis is good, but patched together d backfields take time to jell. And you gloss over the QB question, which is the biggest one. Expecting anything out of this team is over optimistic.
1. @ Houston --- W Houston is taken by surprise by some of the D schemes that Ryan dreams up without his starting DE's. 2. NE --- L Same old, same old. 3. Tennessee --- W Tough game, Jets win a close one 4. @ New Orleans --- L The Saints at home... I don't think so. 5. @ Miami --- W Pace returns, new wrinkles, the wildcat blows a fart in this one, Ryan's D is ready for it and turnovers created by the D wins this one. 6. Buffalo --- W Owens is now whining, team turmoil over the added distraction of Lynch's return from suspension. 7. @ Oakland --- W Jets run wild over one of the worst rush D's in the league. 8. Miami --- L Miami's dream is over, they are 2-6 and here is the upset.... Jets go in cocky and lose. 9. Jacksonville --- L Just cause they always beat us. 10. @ New England --- W Jets pull off the upset, Brady gets all banged up from corner and safety blitzes. 11. Carolina --- W Tough one to call, but Revis gets his first INT returned for a TD on the year against S Smith. 12. @ Buffalo --- L Buffalo never lets us win when we most expect to win. 13. @ Tampa Bay --- L TB is under rated. 14. Atlanta --- W Upset win here. Just a hunch 15. @Indianapolis ---W Indy has clinched a playoff spot, doesn't show up. Ryan studies how SD always beats them, and does the same. 16. Cincinnati --- L Big game.... Jets don't show up. This is where we find out if it's the same old Jets under Ryan or a different team. Record: 9-7
What the.. Aside from Detroit and St. Louis, Tampa Bay is probably the worst team in the league. Atlanta? Okay, maybe we could squeak that one out. Indy? In Indy? No way. This isn't Tony Dungy, Peyton Manning will be starting and playing that game. The Titans and Colts will battle for the South until at least Week 16. We are not losing to Cincinnati with Rex Ryan at the helm. In case you havn't noticed, Eric Mangini has left town.

Buffalo - W High scoring game but we edge them out 7. @ Oakland - W No Brett Favre, No Mangini = W 8. Miami - W There offense cant produce against elite Defenses 9. Carolina - L Our offense gets shut down 12. @ Buffalo - W TO has ruined any team chemistry and buffalo is in turmoil 13. @ Tampa Bay - W Don't have enough talent to hang 14. Atlanta - L Matt Ryan is the man 15. @Indianapolis - L Peyton Manning is even better 16. Cincinnati - W They revert back to the Bungals with Carson Palmer demanding a trade 2009 Record: 7-9
1. @ Houston --- L- without Ellis and Pace. 2. NE --- L same as every year at home. 3. Tennessee --- L They will have revenge for last years' loss to us. 4. @ New Orleans --- L Who dat? 5. @ Miami --- W but not by much. 6. Buffalo --- L- TO will run us over. 7. @ Oakland --- L Tom Cable will punch out Ryan 8. Miami --- W because we have their number 9. Jacksonville ---L MDJ will run rampant. 10. @ New England --- L same ole story. 11. Carolina --- W they finally show some light 12. @ Buffalo --- W Ryan will make this team hungry. 13. @ Tampa Bay --- L They will use QB by committee. 14. Atlanta --- L Matt Ryan will go nuts on us. 15. @Indianapolis --- W New coach cannot bring Manning to his best. 16. Cincinnati --- L They will end the season as losers. Record: 5-11 We will be inconsistant all year and prepare for the 2010 season.
