One thing working to teams advantage, like the Chiefs, with the new payscale in place they don't have to worry about reaching for a QB in the top 5 and having to pay them 100 million or whatever. That really is a bit of a game change in the draft.
True. The limited scale really opens up the top of the draft to non star positions like MLB or DT more than ever before. With the QB class being perceived as weak this could be one of the most awkward drafts in awhile.
I'm on board with any off-season where we dump Tebow, Sanchez, and Holmes...resign Revis and draft Jonathan Franklin (I'm a UCLA Alum - Franklin will tear it up!). Not to mention that I do believe in Geno Smith's talent and wouldn't mind taking that risk. As to the feasibility of it all...I am no expert. But I would be super excited if it went down like this.
Not a huge fan of the Geno Smith pick, but god damnit I want Paul Kruger, I think if we have a top 10 pick we go with Bjoern Werner, I seriously see him as another JJ Watt, the guy has an incredible motor and is huge as well, if we have Bjoern Werner and Paul Kruger at OLB, we will have the best Defense in the NFL, the jets would probably be able to have 40 sacks or so as a team, those guys can get after it man
If Kyle Orton or Alex Smith were acquired and we added this much talent on defense, and instead of Ansah and Smith we take Bjoern Werner and hopefully a Zach Ertz or Tyler Eiffert, I would be ecstatic
Thanks for the input guys, its hard getting a read on where guys will be drafted and what trade value if any do any of our guys have. I have a better idea of how my 2.0 will go though
