I always want to do a mock when we trade down like 4 times, but it's usually very unrealistic. Hard to say this is a mock, when there are so many trades and contingencies that have to happen for this thing to actually become a reality. Now that I see someone else do it, I see why. Very complicated mock. I like Jenkins, Kelce and Alonso where you took them.
You never know, wilder things have happened. I mean in 2000 the Jets wound up with 4 first round picks, granted only 2 of the 4 came as a result of trades (2 firsts for Keyshawn).. One thing draftniks, and myself, tend to do is somewhat over value slot position to a degree. we tend to stick to the trade value chart, but if you look at trade values over the years they don't really tend to balance out well in reguards to the chart. Part of that I think comes from human nature and the fact that coaches, GM's and scouts all have that human failure of coveting. If there's a player they covet they and don't believe that player will fall to them they often pull the trigger. The problem though is often the other team often covets that same player, or knows how much the other team covets and asks too steep a price to trade down, or knows that by trading down they'll lose the player they covet. That's why largely mock drafts by even the very best of guru's often miss on the order of about 1/3-1/2 of the top 10 picks and the order they go in and it falls apart after that point. Mocking in the end is more of an art than an actual science since even if you predict 50% of the picks to the right team your doing well. Case in point, a ranking of the top mock drafts each pick in the mock is worth 1-3 points, so a mock drafter has a potential of 96 points possible. The average score of the best mock drafter over a 5 year period was 43.6 points. Think about that for a moment. The best score listed on the site has been 51, out of 96. http://www.thehuddlereport.com/Free/mockdraftscoring.shtml So really, when you think about it....all mock drafts, regardless of expertise, are kind of flights of fancy. But still a hell of a lot of fun.
What I can contribute here: Stacy has great character. His first two years he didn't perform nearly as well but those years were turbulent (understatement). Also, IMO, he doesn't get enough credit for running behind Vandy's terribly undersized O-Line.
