Fair enough. I don't know any Giants fans booking trips for Miami after we beat a bunch of JV teams to go 5-0 while also not showing anything particularly impressive on defense. Perhaps you just had an experience with a few bad apples. And do you really still care about the draft day trade? It was almost 6 years ago and it looks like both teams actually made out pretty well. And no one owns any part of the Internet, I come on here with a different perspective from most on this board but still happily respect those that act in a dignified manner. I don't owe you anything for being a Jets fan. Still, I'll happily play nice for here on in if you will.
Many Giants fans like to get on the Jets and their fans when they suck. So it's only natural for it to go the other way. I have heard many Giants fans hate on the Jets throughout the years. It's not anything new. So when the Jets actually make it far and the Giants have an epic collapse, those Jets fans who probably have a lot of Giants fan friends feel to need to make sure they know about it. I'm sure you've ribbed Jets fans in the past or gloated about your team's success.
I'm thinking out loud. If everyone kept their thoughts to themselves this board would be pretty boring, though far more peaceful.
This, I think, is the heart of the matter. Though I also think the perception of "oh the other fanbase has bashed my fanbase in the past" plays into this strongly, regardless of any personal experiences one may or may not have had to that end.
