I almost had forgotten that I love Jenks. Thanks for the link. I heard Tanny say yesterday that he's WAY ahead of schedule, and he joked that if they had a game in 2 weeks, Jenks could be ready to play.

To stay on topic: Who cares about which players thought they were superstars? This year is this year. WAY different from last year.

    it's gotta be rhodes

remember when kerry was talking smack about the pats before the first game... after we won I remember Jenks in the locker room saying "well we came out and backed him up... hopefully next time he'll learn to keep quiet" or something like that. He wasn't really pissed off but still

Exactly... he is an excellent player but since Favre stole the spotlight from everyone MAYBE (and it's just speculation of course) he didn't like it.

The fact he came out in the newspapers criticizing Favre is a FACT not an opinion.

I'm not saying he is Hollywood at all... just that he may have had a problem with Favre getting ALL the spotlight while he was running for 1'300yds (rightfully so).

Miamipuck before talking about garbage read what is actually written in a post.

I underlined that TJ is a team first guy (and not Hollywood)... just said he might have had a problem with the Favre attention when he had an excellent season... those two things don't exclude each other in my book.

Agreed especially because Favre is the kind of player where if he plays terrible the press talks non stop about how terrible he was over the other players that helped win the game.

    Love your avatar!

I can see Gastineau, Klecko, Mehl and Lyons, but who's that fifth Jet tucked away in there?

I agree also that it was great to see Jenkins. On another piece for NFL Network he said he felt like he could play five or six more years with Ryan as his coach. Comforting to here.

Thanks, are we going to play the reading comprehension game?

I did read your post. You put a disclaimer on it. So what, disclaimers are bs on here. Say what you really feel.

Did you listen to what Jenkins said? Most likely not. He was saying guys didn't like Favre because he was a bigger star and basically ruined their ego's. He was talking about selfish players not from a team perspective. Two entirely different concepts!

That doesn't sound like Jones at all. So yes my opinion on your opinion stands. kthanxbai.

Edit: No fucking way was Jenkins talking about Jones. Man it is so fucking stupid I even have to type that.

Human beings are more complex than, "he can be correctly categorized as 'team first' therefore he wouldn't have said this." TJ is absolutely a team guy, but that doesn't mean there's no way he could've disliked having the Favre Show in town. I didn't like having the Favre Show in town either. Heck, if Jones was among those mentioned by Jenkins, it probably puts him in the majority of that locker room, so it's almost a necessity that he disliked Favre to be a team first guy.

Jones also took a disliking to Cedric Benson's ego when he came into Chicago. Being a team first guy didn't stop that. Benson had his #4 pick money and acted like he was a bigger deal than the thousand yard rusher on the team. Not an entirely dissimilar situation. Even the most humble man can struggle with injured pride when somebody with lesser accomplishments gets all the credit.
