So now they have to trade Robertson, knowing them they will do it for a 6th rounder.

Oh, and Jenkins has weight issues and not even worth a million dollar roster bonus to Carolina.

I wouoldn't expect big sack #s, big sack guys are your OLB's in a 3-4. Ellis' role is very different than when he was a really good pass rusher in the 4-3.

Vilma is a 4-3 LB... he isn't big enough to be an OLB or and ILB in a 3-4... plain and simple, he didn't fit. Be happy we got a 4th, that will most likely be a 3rd when he reaches makers in the trade (Tackles, % of plays played for the season etc.) Put it this way... we would have gotten exactly 0 for him next year when he walked away as an unhappy camper.

So Jenkins isn't worth it due to weight issues? I don't get the point of your infested pessimism.

I haven't read this thread - but has anyone mentioned the effect of Jenkins on the possibility of drafting Glenn Dorsey or Sed Ellis now as a 3-4 end? If they are there when we pick the value is right and the need is there.
