It's kinda who I was hoping would get the intern, best of luck Jeff, hopefully he brings some fire to the sidelines.
It certainly didn’t help that his HC said a monkey could do his job, remember that one? That said Ulbrich had a very good showing coaching the Senior Bowl and presented himself well when we were in Hard Knocks. He certainly seemed more authentic than Saleh does. He also seemed like he’s a no nonsense guy who doesn’t put up with bullshit.
He certainly will never be "out F-bombed" by anyone. That's one of the things from Hard Knocks that i still remember.
There’s conflicting reports on this. That said, it’s mid season. Every other coach was fired after the season when there’s no one in the building for the most part. I don’t think any institution in America is just going to let a fired employee walk around giving a farewell tour.
I've been in the business world for 30 years, people who are escorted out and not allowed to speak to anyone are usually people who have access to sensitive information or actually committed a crime. The implication in this post is that he wanted to speak the players but wasn't allowed. That's not the same as a farewell tour. This is just classless and typical for this organization.
With all due respect, how does this change ANYTHING about the team? The vast majority of issues were on offense. They should have fired the offensive coaches, particularly the oline coach / Hackett.
I’ve been in the corporate world for the same. Every firing I’ve ever seen, the employee was escorted to the exit. I’ve never ever seen a fired employee allowed to just hang around afterwards. Laid off is a different story. Let’s be clear, security didn’t drag Saleh out, they walked with him and made sure he went out the door. That’s just standard protocol, I don’t think it means a thing. I think the media is just trying to keep fanning flames that don’t exist.
You may be right about the media fanning the flame, and I probably fell for it. It made it sound like they picked him up and dragged him out kicking and screaming.
Had to happen. I like that we have an interim head coach and haven't handed someone the job until they earn it. Now there is hope.
I don’t think Ulbrich will make much of a difference but ya know it is a big opportunity for him, who knows, if he can turn things around the full time job is there for the taking but probably not
Another aspect is it keeps the ex-employee from copying sensitive files or deleting important files out of resentment--not saying RS would have done that but its a reasonable precaution.
