You were drinking the same Kool Aid I was ..and maybe 60k other Fans ahaha There might be some Psych Ward patients who are less deluded
Sure ..all you have to do is switch the Rosters and have all the 49ers wear Green and White then Saleh and even laFleur can make those Ws happen
That's sort of where I was at the start of the season. I'm down to 3-4 wins because they have already lost 2 they could have won.
So this season is a pass on Major changes to the team, unless the too guys have a Gruden/Meyer issue, the whole point of this year is to see what young players step up in our new team/schemes. I put some of the 20 draft down to fitting what was needed food gase/Williams but still expected better than what we got out of it. 21 draft looks decent so far and hope we start forming the base of a roster that can be with us for years to come. (Assessing outside of Wilson to fit the theme of the thread) The 22 draft needs to be a good one and if we have a couple of high picks, would also expect us to trade back and get picks for the year after too. However, by the end of the 22 season this team needs to be in a wildcard conversation and if not, this needs to be evaluated further. If we look great and need a QB to get us there, then I think JD gets another chance. If the team looks like it is now and Wilson is no further, I think the outside noise will be too much and might be a clear house situation. Fwiw, I like JD and Saleh and think we're in the right direction for long term coaching and GM option here in NY. Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
LOL I like the roster overall. It’s been a minute since I could say that truthfully w/o it being sarcasm and/or passive aggressiveness. They’re young and should only get better.
I felt the same, it’s why I thought the CS would pull out 2-3 wins and rest of team would have pulled out 5 wins, its why I put them at 8. Instead the CS is going to lose 2-3 games and team might pull out just 3 more games.
Well the GM in Arizona drafted Rosen and didnt lose his job The GM in Chicago traded picks to move up and draft Trubinski and didnt lose his job The GM in Washington drafted Haskins and didnt lose his job The GM in LA traded up for and drafted Goff and didnt lose his job Elway traded up for and drafted Paxton Lynch and didnt lose his job Its not so automatic, youre right its one pick. I think you have to look at the body of his work first
I should not have participated in such a negative thread, and filled with only negative results to talk about, but I liked the initial question @legler82 asked. The reason I went out to 2024 is because Zach Wilson is a good QB. No chance he is given up on before that. Things will click soon and this thread will be irrelevant. Again, I apologize for participating. My mistake.
Totally agree. I just dont think hes going anywhere, I like this draft and even his first draft has given us starters
No need to apologize...I posted earlier this month all of us have the right to see things differently today, tomorrow or the next day I want Wilson succeeding in the worst f__king way. But the Plan the Jets have laid out is a conundrum...so far. He has got serious rookie problems and his OC / coaches suck imo. Maybe that changes way before 2024 lol
Why are you apologizing for bringing some balance and perspective to the thread? We need positive posters to counter all the negative stuff. Please don't stop posting just because a thread appears negative.
I'm not sure why some posters are characterizing this as a negative thread when the first part of the very first sentence here gave Zach Wilson a 99.9999 percent chance of success. That post didn't even require Wilson to pan out in any given amount of time or years. To discuss what contingency plan may be required regarding the General Manager against those odds is probably just an exercise in burning pixels.
the OP said in the event that Wilson didn’t pan out AND that was JDs only blemish … those weren’t the odds for Wilson’s success alone
