    THURSDAY
Tropical storm conditions possible. East winds 35 to
45 knots with gusts up to 60 knots. Seas 18 to 25 feet with a
dominant period 12 seconds. Intracoastal waters extremely rough.
Showers. A slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning, then a
chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon

Well we will probably only get near 45mph winds here but still so many piles of debris from Ian sitting around that all that stuff will be blowing around. At least it shouldn't be that much rain.

wow, thats crazy.... I remember that summer, as I bought my house in 2002. I was talking to friends about that summer the past few days, and politics aside, call it climate change or whatever, shit is changing. That year the only real impacts were right in the line of landfall (and tornadoes in orlando from Charley), now there's flooding EVERYWHERE. I've lived in St. Augustine for 30 years now, and We never had the drama we have from every little storm like we do now. Granted I think development has a hand in this, but there has to be more

Surge was much more than with Ian, but thankfully much less rain. If we had comparable rainfall (with nowhere for it to drain to, it couldve been a disaster)
If I was one block west / closer to the marsh / ICW I wouldve had a 1' of water inside.

Time to go move wet sandbags, and strip off the plumbers putty from the door jams once the coffee kicks in...

It’s the same here. The flooding. Here, it’s definitely from development. But other factors wouldn’t surprise me.
When Florence hit a few years ago, it really wasn’t that bad here, but the rain upstate sent the rivers flowing down a week later and the flooding was catastrophic.
Even Ian in sept, was only supposed to be a tropical storm, but along the coast people are saying the damage was worse than the last few storms.

Or they move the game to Detroit. They did that a few years ago with the Jets and Bills. The Bills play at Detroit on Thanksgiving. The Bills can play as the "home team" this Sunday and just stay in Detroit when it's time to play the Lions. Detroit plays the Giants at MetLife so the stadium can be used for the Bills - Browns game. If those snow totals are true, the game will probably get cancelled in Buffalo.

The crossing points on those two storms kind of demarcate the 2200 southern tip of Florida based on all the modeling that's going on.

If these numbers hit, then good luck getting the Bills - Browns game played.

Shows rain and snow showers for me in Fair Lawn, NJ this Thursday. However, a week from Thursday they are predicting 1-3 inches of snow Thursday night when the Jets play the Jags. It's still over a week away so who knows if that will happen. Keep an eye out for a possible snow game when the Jets play the Jags.

That would be fun. I remember a snow game against the Steelers many years ago at Giants Stadium. It was a blast. Still over a week away and you know how the weather can change.
