Hurricane Matthew basically wasted 2 years of my life

 

Looks like it could avoid NJ all together based on current projections having it go so far inland.

 

Damn thing is still a cat 3 ,5 hours after landfall.

 

He's a fucking bastard.... at first I'm like "yes, its becoming assymetrical (first sign of dying), then realize all the rain moved to the WEST side?!?! (which will be right over me all day tommorrow... starting at 11 until friday morning) wtf

Lost a gate so far, probably am hour or so from outer eyewall bands. Couldn't get video to load correctly, picture a big metal gate on the ground

Power been out since 11, now fire alarm is going off. Winds not as bad as I expected but I'm sure plenty of trees down with all the rain loosening the soil. Looks like winds will be down to around 50mph by 8am

 

And now the search begins, is there a 7-11 open for coffee

When driving down the highway be careful not to hit the sharks.

 

If you have a Waffle House near you they are probably building pontoon bridges to the roadways above water.

 

I'll bet there is a mint to be made for any contractor willing to specialize in weather proofing and building new climate proof structures.

 

I did drive by the closest brewery, everything looks good there so a very positive sign.
The next closest brewery floods in an afternoon storm so didn't want to go by there, might bring me to tears.

 

They were all up and down the streets by my friend in coastal area
