You have two shots...but both RIGHT NOW look progressive. Fast with nothing to slow them down. A few maps show some strength with early morning Wednesday the "height".
Also showing with the first one mixing on the coast but its all dependent upon strength...slightly stronger...slightly colder. Still inland looks pretty much snow with maybe a bit of sleet south of I80.

The second one on Friday? Has lessened but a third system pops up coming in from the west that could be...could be interesting.

FJF is the man. When I sign in to put up my videos here, I just look over at the flag and if I see FJF....I know something is brewing lol. But there are now many here that really follow and do a fantastic job.

That weekend storm looks too warm I think. I like the mid week for 2-4 north of 84 wet stuff that disappears before we can enjoy it.

You are probably right...didnt give the temps even a look...its a decent possible qpf'er though. Have you had any snow yet? Anything over a few inches? That was always my first winter barometer. A little sleet and snow every 5 or 6 days in December.

I saw a story the other day that Denver had not had snow yet. The first time since records were kept that they had no snow by Dec 1st (I think).

Bingo...good one Br4d. Another factor. The entire jet stream position is producing very little over the past few months...tropical included. There is a connection and I have no idea what the hell it is.

I don't know if it is *still* a connected phenomenon but I remember the polar vortex surges south having an effect on the jet stream overall several years ago.

It had something to do with the polar vortex breaking down and then colder air in the upper atmosphere forcing the jet stream off course as it came in from the Pacific northwest.

Maybe the polar vortex is circulating at latitudes further south than it normally does w/o actually breaking down? This due to a warming artic?

Very rough night in some areas from tornados. Just started reading, but Kentucky governor says up to 100 may be dead, deaths reported in Arkansas. Also one hit an Amazon distribution center, called a mass causality event.

The stories (as usual) are very convoluted, but supposedly a bunch of inmates from a County Jail helped get people out. Not sure why inmates were randomly roaming the streets but whatever. I hope it's not going to be as bad as projected.

Holy Smokes, I just saw some photos of Mayfield, KY. The entire town is leveled.

    Yeah, that is just horrible.
We had an f4 pass through here about ten miles north last February. No warning. As it passed here over the Ocean, I’ve never seen lightning that, the turned inland at that point. . It hit one community really hard. It picked up a brick house and basically dropped it on the neighbors house.

I woke up this morning at 4am and it was 74 degrees. Looked at my weather app and there's a fuckin freeze warning for tonight. I will never get used to this shit.

Just wait. In 20 years or so, the freeze warning will be a thing of the past.
