Uncle C. Believe me when I say this, I want a 24 inches snow just for you. I hope it happens at least once this year. I want a historic snow storm for you my friend. :)

I just don’t see it. Look at the temps. I still think if you stick to your plan it works out.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central New York and
    northeast Pennsylvania.

    .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Precipitation will spread into central New York and the northern
tier of Pennsylvania Friday night, then last through Sunday. The
precipitation will start as a mix of rain and snow, and even a little
freezing rain Friday night into Saturday before changing to all rain
by Saturday early afternoon. Rain will change back to snow from west
to east late Saturday into Saturday night. There is a potential for
several inches of snow over the highest terrain. The valleys could
see up to an inch of snow. Freezing rain could last an hour or two
with ice accumulations of a few hundredths. There is still a lot of
uncertainty related to this storm so continue to monitor later
    forecasts.

Well Fjay do you remember that plan that I had , the one we discussed and that " I was gonna stick to" ? That went out the window as I did not begin my return home bright and early in fact I started home from Buffalo after 12:30 pm today-----> all was good as it was 39 degrees in Buffalo and nothing falling from the sky,,,,,,fast forward I started dealing with rain not too long after my trip began and I heard reports of BAD ice in and around Syracuse just before I got in my car -----fast forward = when we got about a half hour EDIT HERE "WEST" of Syracuse the temps that had been dropping the entire trip hit 30 degrees and the snow was coming down with not a plow or salt truck insight and we were driving in the snow and white knuckling it until we got just North of Binghamton. I could give you a full play by play but long story short is we got home alive and the usual 5 hour trip took 6 and a 1/2 and when I was driving thru SYRACUSE I was thinking are we gonna make it home and should I start looking for hotels so I will take 6 1/2. Thanks for the concern guys I am an A HOLE for not leaving earlier but in retrospect I probably would have been driving in more sleet and ice than I wound up doing. -----oh and fast forward to Super Bowl Sunday and no lie the EFFING models are showing a huge storm you cant make it up and I won't believe it until I see it.

Models are starting to spit out a possible Super Bowl Sunday into Monday storm but there is far too much time yet for things to change,,,,,,I thought I hated last winter but this one tops that as I do not trust the weather models at all this far out talk to me when we hit Wed or Thurs

Fjay, IMO the weekend is NOT a done deal yet. Timing is everything but it sure would help if this system had some cold air to work with that said I do not think this is a done deal yet as there are too many moving parts and we have 6 days to go. I do not trust the models but with parties scheduled and traveling on Sunday this could very well still be something especially for inland areas,,,,lets see if this gets pushed OTS or blows up ?

FYI IMO , Fjay and others the weekend system is not dead yet but it is very much on life support. The weather models are useless and have struggled with every system this winter but I still think that this could still turn out to be be something for us but I would think we would have to see some improvements in the model runs very soon. As I said days ago I am pretty much done with this winter but besides you guys and hockey and weather there aint much reason to come to a Jet football site.ps Jayster if you are out there dont sweat it brother as I know you luv the snowstorms but its been a long time since we have had a real winter and you are not missing much.

I don't know where you are CBG but I am in NJ (Bergen County) and the last few years March has been a bitch of a month with the storms. I won't feel good about winter being over until we are a week into April.

Fjay I dont believe ANYTHING the gfs is showing. With 6 days to go this can and will easily disappear just look at what it was showing a week ago for tomorrow. I won't buy back into anything between now and March until the models are inside 72 hours

The damn rat did not see his shadow -----good news because if he had I would have made a trip to the zoo and punched that rodent right in his face. Spring arrived 2 months ago

Honestly boyz, that Ariens gets a lil bit heavier every winter. If I don't have to use it this time around, I'm good. I've seen plenty of big snowstorms since moving out here to Central PA. I'm actually looking forward to spring now so sorry CB, I'm looking for blue skies and warm air..
