It's a constant not watch...but tornado warning. The rain band has set up from ocean...thru Wilmington...and towards whitesville...east to west...for 2 hours. Rainfall over an inch to almost 3 inches an hour at times. Wouldn't surprise me if 30 miles south of her they get 4 to 6 " of rain and this area gets over 10. The storm moves slowly NE but the band does not...constant feed off ocean. Have some great video. Will post when things calm down.
Still another 4 to 6 hours before the winds become a major issue. Tornado touchdown 3 miles north of my location, houses destroyed. Will keep the updates coming

I know they keep saying outer banks...I really thought so too...but radar is screaming southport with a run to Wilmington or just east wrightsville beach. Think this might make landfall earlier. Right now here...quieted down quite a bit

It's non stop cbg. The first 10...I go outside. You see the sky and the incredible cloud movement but now...its nonstop you grow numb. And the storm just took its first major turn and will spare southport. I have to say...from 3 days ago...the models were super. This track is dead on. Outer Banks it was and will be...just a few hours away from major deterioration here...or major bust....we will know by 8pm or before. Eye is closing in on northern SC. We are 60 miles or so from NC SC border. It should start to go downhill here in one hour or so...unless the latest jog to the NE is more pronounced. Will update you in one hour

And here we go...no matter what happens in the next 6 to 8 hours which will be most of the show...take out the 100 tornado warnings...this has been a bust and a major lesson reconfirmed but always forgotten. Storms that just skirt coastal areas but no landfall never materialize winds predicted. Never ever. Never. Now...let's see if this proves me wrong
