True story. Saw the models yesterday and gave the snow blower a quick jog.

 

Fjay there are few shots on the table next week but Friday Sunday first !!!!!

 

I actually just looked at TWC ,,,,,,how are they giving accumulation #'s lol they say 5-8 on Saturday nite another 5-8 on Sunday,,,,,,,I see the potential is there but who on earth can guesstimate #'s this far out ? It looks big and as Jay said like a bomb but accumulation #'s with 6 days to go is insane,,,,,,,that said finally

 

Over night runs did nothing to change my optimism. Really good set up for both storms.

 

I like your spunk but I don't know FJF the coast could be warmer,,,,,these models will spit out so many different solutions between now and the weekend there is oceans of time until it is upon us.

 

No need to burst my bubble. 12z gfs puts the rain snow line right in nyc it looks like.

 

I am in NO WAY trying to burst your bubble as I am doing my own bubble damage / repair here with each model run LOL

 

See? This is exactly what I was talking about. You can get all the snow you want in Jersey, but keep Long Island out of it!

AS far as Sat / Sunday Everything is on the table right now,,,,,,I don't think we know any better until Wednesday / Thursday as this could be Rain on the coast and a real bad ice or snowstorm inland .Nothing is certain right now at least for me = the bat signal going up real soon but Im not sure if the crusader can add anything definitive just too soon to know.As far as Friday DAY or morning I think we have a chance to see some snow Fjay and others thoughts ?

 

I like both set ups. Friday morning rush could be slow and slippery. 1-3 overnight.
Weekend storm looks tough. Snow/rain line could set up at i84? Or basically draw a line through cbg’s house. It’ll be raining in the backyard snowing in the front.
Still lots of time,but weekend plans should include staying home Saturday nite into Sunday.

 

Is Central PA in the game?

 

North of 70 is definitely in the game.

 

Thursday/Friday looking strong for a 1-3 event.

 

Enough for a snow day for kids or no?

 

Tough call brook. I’m going to lean towards no so I don’t get your kids hopes up.

 

FJAY and others I don't trust the models this far out,,,,,they have had a REAL hard time all year and the energy will not be over land until Thursday and I think by then they " might" have a better handle on the weekend. Any of you snow geeks can chime in but it looks to me like a snow or rain or ice storm are ALL still on the table for the weekend I will say this that some of the ICEY scenarios that the models are spitting out right now for the weekend are down right scary ! Friday morning I am with you Fjay as I have not even mentioned it to my kids yet as I don't want them haunting me so Brook say nothing to them although their ( or is it they're LOL ) earth science teachers or apps might tell them about snow for Friday lol.

 

Model runs trending warmer each time. Could be snow to ice to rain to snow. That will hurt the amounts and not to mention just sucks for everyone.
Is 12” of fluffy white snow too much to ask for?

 

This winter the models have been soooooo off base , I will say it again I do not trust any of them this far out. The Ukie has been very consistent with this weekend and says we get buried but it is pretty much alone in what it is calling for. I think we need Thursday/ Friday to get here so we can have a better idea or we need Jay to make a cameo lol
