anyone else feel free to chime in but I am just hating the weather models as they are having such a hard time grasping what is going on so far this winter-----Thursday is back on the table for snow,,,,inland and possibly the coast so says the GFS

 

Not sure what we get Thursday hope no ice looks to be mostly rain,,,,next threat is in 5 or 6 days looks like it could be snow

 

OK Weather Nutz... Where's Winter??? I got 100 lbs of salt to use up and after the last storm, Big A has been sleeping soundly..

 

Cman-----its coming,,,,it has been a slow go but it is coming,,the salt won't be wasted. This aint wishful thinking by me ( well in part it is ) but the more Im learning is ( and maybe one of the more seasoned geeks can add insight ) around a week from now give a few days or take it will be here---ps Tuesday is on the fence that could be Snow and not rain on the 8th

Pretty snow map. I’d like it better if it was the 00 or 12. The 6 and 18 are always over cooked. Bears watching though

Seems pretty clear something will happen next Sundayish, and up to 6" of snow from Nassau west doesn't seem too unreasonable. Boo.

 

Just gonna go ahead and throw this up there. Over night models look pretty good for Sunday. Still plenty of time but I think we may have something

This Sunday event. Can this be a Monday or Saturday event? And how many inches for now?

 

I think it’s a Sunday. The way it’s modeled right now is afternoon so even a few hours back or forward keeps it for Sunday,if it happens.
As far as amounts. Too early. Euro has it a small event gfs has a significant snowfall.

 

Wish the Euro was on board but still time,,,,as of right now every single weather model has this storm,,,,lets see how this plays out from here

I hope it moves to Monday so kids can get a snow day. They are anxiously waiting.

 

Maybe, needs to slow down ,linger past midnight Sunday into Monday. Definitely a possibility.
Latest gfs has it as a 10-12” event.
Still way way early. Still giddy though
