I'm 10 minutes from the water, they said if it were to snow it wouldn't be until tonight, so the fact that it's snowing by 11 am is a little strange. Not gonna be a fun run for me later.
Same here, was sposed to be rain, then mix, snow later. Turned to snow at 10 am. Began to stick about 11. About an inch on the table on my deck right now.
Thats closer to wrap up time..the hardest part of the storm is right about now and for the next 6 hours.
The storm is a bit further away from land which means its pulling in colder air towards the south...that and a storm this storng generates a huge amount of its own cold air...and thats whats happening. not a good sign that cold air is making it that far south this early. Totals to your west should be on the high side of the prediction mark
Oh..and for the record..jay the snow lover is on the beach in North Carolina right now...missing the storm. That should be some good material for you guys...enjoy.

lol...ha...my wife just called me from wayne, nj and said power is out. Walked her through generator. I did fish this morning. Beautfiul sunny skies..but I would much rather be up north right now. Following this on computer aint my cup of tea. Ok...another 5 hours of the heavy stuff. Branches are falling all over and I would say when said and done..tons of people without power. Get your batteries and candles and heating stuff ready. jonnnyd, you should have a huge supply of batteries. Just take them out of all the plug in devices. You know what I mean bud. Love you kid. Seriouisly, those living in the ny metro area...n.e. penn,lower ny state..conn and mass, get ready to lose power.

LOL well said. Winters have been brutal the last couple of years, and this one immediately starts off by setting records. Snowing all day here, and it is not letting up.
