GFS-----better FJAY ,its Not the same and not worse but getting better-----weather geeks like the upper levels in it and say that it is catching on and give it time. I think it is slightly west they say SW but who cares so long as NOT EAST !
gfs just refuses to come back to the 14-20" range. but it has a better track. i'll take it. snow thru midnight wednesday? i think its very possible. kids are thinking no school tuesday 2 hr delay wednesday. possible state of emergency especially nyc, westchester,north jersey all day tuesday.

OKAY So I'm at a St Paddys party yesterday then up all nite looking at weather models and maps , not to mention worrying about my buddy FjayF and if he's doing harm to himself over this damn GFS model and runs ,and then we push the freaking clocks ahead! Oh did I mention Im sick of coughing from this damn cold I'm Battling ? All this said the freaking Euro is at 2:45 not now ----I blew that one . A friend rang my bell so I got jammed up,,,,,,,FJAY the Euro run is ridiculous ! Weather geeks on other sites say " Sickest model run I have ever seen " or "in 20 plus years of doing this I have never seen a model run like that ". Holy smokes its right near the BenchMark and it gives CMAN ridiculous snow amounts . Did u see the numbers FJAY ? I realize its only a model run but holy smokes it says 40 in PA ---30 North AND West and 1 to 2 feet in the city !
absolutely insane. 40" in the poconos i am having a hard time buying in to all of that but i think everyone in the thread should plan on 10"+ and just assume tuesday will be an off day. if the gfs buys in and we get total agreement either at 6 or midnight the weather guys will be going nuts.
I have a hard time also , but the POTENTIAL is there. Also more model runs to come --High Tide Tueday AM is a HUGE PROBLEM there will be an incredible storm surge, take precautions better safe than sorry. Start generators, yes get gas ps batteries and flashlights also . "if" THIS HITS as advertised it will be very dangerous.
Weather Channel - An inch Monday night, who knows Tuesday. But according to the winter storm watch, it COULD go up to 6 inches. But we are on the gradient line so it could be 6 inches, it could just be a tiny dusting. Accuweather - 4-8 inches possible...there's a drastic difference between those two. I'd love to narrow it down. 8 inches is me skipping work. 4 inches is me pissed off and work. Weather Underground - Mostly rain. Everyone has the watch but being on that line of maybe/maybe not it's going to be super tough to call. Gonna suck for all my co-workers who commute from Central Jersey as the facilities I work at don't give a crap about the commuters.
