Im waiting to see this freaking Euro,,,,,,in 20 minutes I think it corrects itself from today--that said Greg I think you are looking at not heavy as the models seem to all be trending colder so I think it WILL will be light fluffy n blowing
Thanks for the update. I have to admit I really don't want this after all the warm weather we had. I was ready for spring but I have the snow blower gassed up and ready to go.
Greg a lot can still happen and maybe Jay or FJAYF or someone else can chime in tomorrow but most models are back on board for a big storm for the metro area,,,,Im waiting for someone to post the Euro as I dont have access to it,,,I hope it trended back west

CMAN my geography sucks I am still trying to figure out how far FJAY is from me after years! What are you near I can look at map and give you best guesstimate ? You near Allentown ? Harrisburg ? give me a location or 2 and I will give u best guesstimate
I am very concerned about FJAYF , I hope he did not slip off the ledge ? Also his model OF choice the GFS is the only model yet to come around but I think it will today .
gfs still looking pretty weak. nam and euro look good. i am back inside, leaving the window open though cman plan on a foot minimum. back on a more western track. good snow inside of 95. nyc still could be a blizzard. late monday night start and this thing is going to thump hard tuesday morning.

yes but I am wondering the duration ------most stuff suggested it would be long and drawn out like 24 hours but I am not sure,,maybe todays intel helps,,,what do you think ?
FJAY --maybe you know this ,,but I am just learning and I read that the GFS is HIGH RESOLUTION and will most likely get a grasp on things today. Also I know the Nam is deadly inside 48 hours and thats what I am sticking by-----ps Euro and Ukie or better yet Euro /Nam /Ukie is a great meat of the batting order ,,,,and all in the same camp !
i think we go thru midnight wednesday but the intense stuff will be during the day tuesday. local guys are going nuts with the confidence level on this. i think the gfs will catch up, although i feel it struggles with the last 24 hrs anyway. local guys are all geeked up and thats enough for me. oh,c, i am about 30 minutes north of the tap up the taconic
FJAY was I off base with Greg in Fairlawn ? Wet heavy snow or light fluffy snow ? Also IF this happens as advertised there are a few guys I give props to, a few I never heard of but Bernie Rayno was also tweeting yesterday (while u and I were on the ledge ) that due to the science / dynamics that he was STILL ALL IN , as I said a few others as well .Not only was a trying to avoid the ledge ( as you really were crowding it ) but I was at a ST paddys party with like 75 people and so many were coming over to me saying "WHAT DO YOU THINK ? " and in the next breath they all were checking apps on phones-------> even the kids were harassing me ,,,lol
also I have been checking liquid amounts and see around 2 inches some say less-----can this thing grab more moisture ? Otherwise we are not looking at more than 20 anywhere UNLESS ratios are skewed and go to 12 to 1 or 14 to 1 ,,,,what do u think ?

i don't think we get cold enough for 12-1. this should be light powdery snow though. maybe closer to the coast will be wetter. mixing issues in southern jersey.
Nam looked good again,,,,,but it looks as if this IS NOT a slow mover. Could be over in 12 hours but heavy snow for those 12,,,,,,will look at other runs today and looking forward to tomorrow
