12z : euro has the low pass safely south of us and heading out to sea. Virginia, N.C. get some snow friday morning with some if not a lot of mixing.
Gfs trended a bit north laying 3-6" over P.A. @Cman60 mat want to lay down some salt Thursday night. Jersey, L.I Nyc and north and west of nyc getting 1-2.
So a little disagreement between the two, euro has held the same track for 3 runs now. We will see what the 18z gfs does.
@CBG. Do not panick. Still in good shape as the storm will clear over nite friday into saturday. Should not effect your plans, as of now

 

Thanks for the headsup! I've got plenty in reserve. 3-6" will melt pretty fast in the March sun so I'm not too worried. Thank Goodness its hitting at the end of the week.

 

Thanks for the updates FJF,,,,,and I know you look at some of the same sites as me but these weather geeks are still scaring me ! I mean the models are not much help as they keep flip flopping but these guys keep talking North and west shifts and one guy now says a 25 or 50 mile swing and we are in this ,,,,,,,saving grace thru all of this is as you said it starts Thursday nite and is outta here by Saturday,,,,,,keep em coming FJF

 

Models still look good @CBG. I know what you are saying about thw weather geeks but i think you are out of the woods.

 

Fjf I totally agree with you ots looking good,,,,,which probably means we get a foot of snow,,,lol

 

so most models holding to a non event on thursday/friday. coating to 2" with the south and east getting the bulk of that. and that will pretty much put a wrap on the 2016 winter that never was i believe. we will see a good stretch of warm weather starting monday afternoon with at least a week straight where lows will be above freezing. rest of march should be warm and a little wet. wish we had gotten some snow but since we won't glad its warming up.

yea brook. winter is over. always a chance of a late storm but i am pretty confident that it won't happen. 70 by wednesday and no days below freezing.
now, i i am a country boy and really have no use for the city, but i wouldn't mind being in the city wednesday when the girls hit the streets walking the puppies for the first time since fall.

as much as i missed the snow this year, what an awesome day. 82f shattered the previous record of 68f set 16 years ago.
