winter storm warning issued for long island. 00z nam likes hammering the city and l.i. but nothing north.
things are really fluid. winter weather advisory for nyc now. rain changing over than 2-6". think the total may go up. expect it to continue to trend west at this point. new jersey getting in on this too. @CBG you get a wwa too. 3-5 in your neck of the woods. 2-6" for me in dutchess. impressive how fast this developed, all though admittedly been looking past this to next monday.

First snow day of the year for the kids. Coast is getting the better numbers though. Probably going to be that way the rest of the winter. Long island might beat the catskills by 40" snow total this winter. Crazy
Guys, Don't be jealous but in Bangalore India, it is high 80'ies and sunny tomorrow. Planning on enjoying the pool with some Margarita's. Sorry snow haters. I will try to enjoy for you as well. Hahaha
complete bust up here. another coastal storm. watching monday night ,tuesday morning. low coming up the coast and a miller b heading at the same time. big potential but also big bust potential.
going on trends, the first low, miller A storm should end up right on the coast, giving the coast a good snow, maybe another foot for long island and nyc central to northern jersey getting 4-8 less as you go north and west with the snow line setting up on i84. this will weaken the miller B coming in on tuesday. so @CBG you will get 6" or so and i will be siphoning gas from the snow blower in to the lawn mower in prep for spring. 00z nam has it for eastern long island right now. next gfs in about an hour will be interesting now the other option is the miller A head out to sea giving the miller B time to strengthen and giving a good storm tuesday thru wednesday. but we have seen what this winter has been about, safe money is on the miller A. wish jay would chime in
00z gfs throws the miller A out to sea and brings the B in on Tuesday p.m. into Wednesday. nothing really big maybe 6" at most over a 12hr period. will check the euro in the a.m. still feel the A is the better bet right now. looking past monday-wednesday. february is looking very active, whether any hit is another story but there will be a lot to watch over the next 3-4 weeks
What I am reading and seeing says that the computers are having a real hard time with these 2 systems,,,,,,let's see what the next 48 hours bring
yea 00z euro sends the A out to sea and gives a lighter event from the B, gfs does the same. latest nam trends east with the A but still giving long island decent amounts. this one is really going to come down to the last 36hrs.
