2 different storms. the one on the 5th is probably going to stay off the coast. if you look at the latest run its is a small low pressure east of jersey at 144hrs. that one on the 8th could be something. very unstable next week. but the temps are not on our side. so if we do get snow its going to be wet and heavy and won't last long

maybe C, temps are going to be our biggest enemy i think. there has been some form of precip on every run between monday and thursday so something could be in the works.

nothing happening friday. next week is tough to predict right now, like one of the weather geeks said on the other forum, the models don't seem to know what to do with all of the energy in play next week. that monday storm needs to track west, there is also a clipper that was the wednesday storm i mentioned over the weekend. they could merge or be a back to back combo. monday could move east and the clipper could move north.
    alot happening.

The Blizzard was the biggest fluke possible. It's been warm all winter, and that weekend we just happened to have a huge high pressure system from canada pumping down arctic air. And instead of a traditional storm pushing from the West that would have brought higher temperatures, a Nor'Easter barreling from the south plowed right into the cold mass and churned over NYC.

Probably won't happen again for another decade

monday has a lot of potential, but the models are all over the place. 12z gfs had a 12+ event and now the 18z has a 3-5" event. there are 2 systems heading here at once and they can't figure out how they are going to effect each other. blizzard and total bust potential all at once,
