My wife wiped off the cars, I freed them from their parking spots. No shovel, so I had to come up with my own method. Put on my combat boots, kicked the snowplow piles into submission (or smaller pieces) then carried the giant chunks off to the side. Wife was able to get her car out. She'll be leaving for home soon. There's only a little left under my car and behind my car so I'm just letting it melt.

AC Airport says they got 13.4" and usually we are a couple inches worse than them.

Wow SMH no shovel? How did you do it? . I spent 4 hours out there dumping white stuf ovr two days. Came in dripping with sweat lol

Shovel might be a good investment before Winter done

yeah I was sweating by the time I got halfway through

even traveling the few blocks was an effort, having to make my way through huge snow drifts when there was no other way around

on the way back I was walking on the side of the street, and I saw a father carrying his son to the doctor

some car (one of the few driving) starts honking and yelling at him to get off the road

    some people are unbelievable

    ha, yeah that's doubtful

I do it not because I think I'll ever get rewarded for it but because I was born this way (or raised this way, hard to tell at this point) and I feel like I have to help.

the problem with going out on a day like today is everybody needs help...

I lift things up and I put them down.

No choice really. My wife is due in court tomorrow to defend someone so she had to be there. And if I'm going to do her car, might as well save myself the trouble tomorrow.

so weekend storm is not going to happen, we are going to be in a bit of a warm up over the next 5-6 days. with some warming than freezing at night. so black ice will be an issue for morning commutes. next week will touch 50-55 degrees before the next threat of a storm around feb 4th. will check in after the weekend to see where that storm sits

Brook I have always loved the snow, ever since I was a kid. Maybe when I get older ,achey er and more crotchety that will change but not yet .not sure how long you live in bklyn but there used to be a Jewish deli on 20th Avenue and 86th Street called Hy Tulip and from the time I was 12 for as long as I can remember every snow storm I would walk there with a buddy or 3 and either get a brisket sandwich or a couple of dogs ! Nothing like the silence of no trains on the L and not a car moving and snow coming down,,,,so peaceful ,,like a post card great memories, ,,,, but I stray,,,,now what's this I hear about weather patterns changing for the better for us snow lovers come the second week of February ?

right now the next best threat/hope is around feb 11, too far out for the euro right now and too far out to get excited, but the gfs has it so we will pay attention. gfs had the last storm for a solid 2 weeks out and the euro didn't pick it up until 5 days out. so theres that.

as for the next week, big rain on wednesday and 60f should just about kill the snow on the ground now. so enjoy it this weekend.

more like a roller coater, we will still get the cold days but the temps will be up and down. where was this 3 years ago when oil was at an all time high?

@CBG i see that, it hasn't been on the previous runs. keep an eye on that 1 too, but it needs to keep working west. something has to land for me soon, right?

I love snow BUT, I'm still a bit sore from running the snowblower so if we can keep the accumilations down until next winter, I'm good with that. :D
